Mine is 2 1/2 years old & he just learned to go up & down the stairs, I liked the fact he couldn't because that's where I could put him when I wanted him out of the way when some one came to the door or I just wanted to keep him away from a visitor...now he ruined it...;) |
My Toby will go up the stairs but never down them and that's okay with me. Now Shelby Rose shoots up and down the stairs like a little rocket. She's my little daredevil and thankfully my stairs are fully carpeted otherwise she wouldn't be allowed on them. |
Jake flies up and down carpeted stairs, but he won't go up and down stairs that are tiled or hardwood. Honestly, I don't encourage him to do it because I don't want him to get hurt. |
You should be elated, not sad! I don't know how big your Yorkie is, but 4 lbs and under are better off not jumping because they could easily get hurt. |
You know what? Today I am gonna try to see if he will use the carpet stairs and maybe thats the problem. We have hardwood floors everywhere so I will take him to the other house we own that we rent out (no one lives there now) and see what he does with the stairs. |
