SERIOUSLY? wow i can imagine what they'd say about my poor 9.5lb yorkie. crazy man |
They'd have had a field day with Susanah! She's 2 days shy of 17 weeks and weighs almost 4 pounds already! |

Personally I feel like puppies come in all sizes just like humans, and no matter what the size their beautiful, loving companions. |

That's sad. Ana's 5 months old and is pushing 6 pounds. Can anyone say teapot? ;) |
People can be so lame. I just love it(insert sarcasm) when someone sees Lola and says "Oh wow, she sure grew". Yep, moron, because when you last saw her she was 11 weeks old, huh, imagine that, she grew up. 3 pounds is TINY, those people are just ridiculous. Think about it, how many babies are born that small? The average human baby is about 7 pounds and they are sooooo little. |
This is so sad. The yorkie "market" has been flooded with these so called "teacups" that are bred the wrong way, have health problems, and are TINY TINY! When people say things like this about my yorkies (4 and 6 lbs.) I usually try and "kill 'em with kindness" and try to be more educational about what size yorkies are supposed to be, and what they're supposed to look like. |
Some people are ignorant when it comes to Yorkie's in general. I surely don't think they are well informed at how many health issues smaller Yorkie's can have. There are alot of people in my area that think there is such a thing as a teacup(which we all know is not true) and are willing to go to extremes to get one. Your boy is a nice healthy weight and dont let anyone put his size down. |
They need to visit an optometrist. |

Just pure ignorance....unfortunately it's rampant. |
Wow - who in the world would think 3.1lbs at 8 months is big? I was at the Houston AKC dog show yesterday. I only saw 5 yorkies and three of them looked to be around 5 or 5.5 lbs. One looked pretty tiny and her handler said she was 4lbs. One even looked to be the exact same size as Lacy (7lbs) and he was 6.5lbs at 9months. These were all show quality yorkies that met the standard. Next time you should ask them if they've ever read the Yorkie standard or seen a show quality yorkie. |
