| I don't think Lacy would actually qualify as "redleg" (and no, I'm definitely no expert). Her hair looks really soft and silky. I remember seeing her in the store one day too and she felt really soft. On the other hand, her coat may be "sparse" or "thinner than others" but that doesn't make her a redleg. Have you tried any supplements? Like Missing Link? After not having to take Tatum to the groomer for about a year for a real groom (I do the paws and sanitary areas), I got her a new bag of Missing Link and wow, the difference it made in her coat. It got fuller pretty quick.
To the original poster, I think it's too early to tell with yours. I got Tatum at 9 weeks and yes her hair was longer than your pup's but I don't know what they typically look like at 6 weeks. I think only time will tell with yours. |
