Guess what...

my best friend's friend just got a Yorkie and named it Stewie. :thumbdown There will always be only one Stewie; he will not be allowed to play with this little imposter.

Oh I hate stuff like that!! I have a certian persone in my life that seems to end up with my same haircut,the same clothes or will like the same things I like. drives me crazy.

I'd be really annoyed too.

Has your friend's friend seen Stewie? If so, maybe she just thinks that your Stewie is just so wonderful and is hoping to have the same? This is a HUGE compliment to you!! :D

Awww, I bet Stewie would possibly enjoy playing with a new Yorkie friend, even if he shares the same name. I have to admit, Stewie is an awesome name and if I had a boy Id name it Stewie too just to copy. (just kidding, LOL)

In my eyes too, there shall only be one Stewie! ;)

I would be sooo annoyed! Its one thing to get a Yorkie, but to name it "Stewie"???? :mad:

She has seen Stewie and has played with him. Its just really obnoxious to me; there are a million names in the world and she had to take Stewie's? Now my best friend is like "oh well, we will just have Stewie #1 and Stewie #2". Ughhhhhhh!!!!

When I first got Stewie and named him, everyone was in agreement that the name was stupid and didn't roll off the tounge. Now all of a sudden its popular? LOL. I am so mad!!

I would kind of be annoyed because like you - I feel there's only room in Houston for ONE Chanel & Cheri...lol..and I'd really not want a friend choose the name I choose for them...but it IS a compliment to Stewie.

Kristy- What did you say when she told her his name???? Its not like "Stewie" is even a super common name or anything! I dont blame you... maybe you need to revise your Stewie to the Original Stewie!!!!

AAAHHH, don't be mad. If you and your friend are out and about somewhere with your babies and someone comes up to you, tell them that your dog is the REAL Stewie and her's is just an imposter! But say it with a smile!! ;)

its ok Stewiesmom!!!Look at it in a more positive way--he has a new friend to play with!!!! I would be a little upset, but there are more important things to be upset about!!! It is a compliment to you and to Stewie!!! Since we have had Luigi, 5 of my friends have also gotten yorkies!!! And they all have silly names too!!!

I think what she did was childish in a way. But then again maybe when she played with your Stewie. She wanted a little Stewie of her own. Still I think it was wrong plus its probably annoying. But sorry to say. It's a free country and people can do what they want. Have you told her how you felt?

No, I told my best friend that I thought that it was total BS and I couldn't believe it. Stewie has enough friends. He doesn't need any felon identity thieves as his friends.

That annoys the heck out of me. I know it is supposed to be flattering but I never find it to be. What bothers me even more is when someone comments on how they like it they never say they got it from you. Stewie # twoie :thumbdown :D

That's irritating! Getting a yorkie is understandable, but naming him the same name as Stewie is weird.

hhhmmm....I might be alone on this one, but I dont find her behavior to be childish at all. I mean, Yorkies are darn cute, she probably didnt even know she wanted one until she saw your dog. She probably fell in love with the name too, I find it to be a compliment. Besides, if she's your friend's friend, which would mean that she's not even really your "friend" then you wont be around her much anyway so let it be. If anything, she might even idolize you a little! Its not the dog's fault though.

I totally agree and think it is nothing but a huge compliment. If it were just to irritate you it would be like her cutting off her own nose to spite her face. I think she adored your Stewie to have wanted one badly enough to pay the money AND to name him after yours. We humans do it out of love and respect (passing on a "same" name). I have a dog named Sampson now that I named after my first Sampson that I loved so dearly.
