John the "Whack Job" Club! I've decided this is an endearing term when it comes to us and our yorkies, so I've developed the Yorkie Whack Job Club!!!!! The only "rule" for joining is that you must be nuts about your baby(ies). Here is my list; 1. They have more clothes than I do and wear them regularly 2. I fix my girls' hair on a daily basis (though not yet long enough for the trademark braid) 3. We own and use a doggie stroller 4. There are Yorkie toys and beds in just about every room of the house 5. The girls vacacation with us whenever possible and when not, I carry their picture and show people 6. I pay to use an Internet Cafe to check in on YT when on vacation and without a computer!!!!! So, anyone else want to join me? Maybe we can get Des to make us official shirts!!!! |
LOLOL !! Since I'm chief Whack job today (if you don't believe me see this thread) :D http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86725 hehe - let me see I cook dinner for my girls while I eat FROZEN Lean Cuisines (I do cook for my husband but he isn't on a diet like me) I spend more time on their hair than I have on my own in my ENTIRE life I haven't been to the Dr. in 3 years but my dogs go everytime I think there's the slightest thing wrong - (tummy upsets) When I'm out, I worry more about them missing me than I do my husband missing me I haven't bought anything new for myself (cept for just recently) in 2 years yet my girls have more and CUTER clothes than I do |
oh geeze... there are so many i'm sure i can't even think about them - we schedule our vacation around when Layla's babysitter is available. - we only go places that Layla is allowed to come too - i've not gone to a wedding because there was no one to watch Layla. - my mom and i talk to Layla at night when she is in her crate until she falls asleep (oh really embarassed about that one) - she eats better food that i do most day! - my parents also belong in this club.... they insist i send the an email with pictures of Layla when they are gone (like they are now!) - they miss her more than they miss me when they are away - they now go in wal-mart and go STRAIGHT to the dog section- until we got Layla they didn't know there WAS a dog section - my mom will hand feed Layla water... yes... water... because she think she needs a drink... Layla just soaks it up ok i need to stop... lol... |
Oh, can I join? I want to be a whack job! Here's my list: 1) I absolutely can not wait for Susanah's hair to grow out so I can braid it 2) I own and use a doggie stroller every chance I get 3) I just bought her very own puppy bag and had it monogrammed for her 4) Susanah only eats organic/holistic foods - I eat whatever is in the kitchen 5) She goes everywhere with me 6) We are busy building her wardrobe - a little hard atm because she's decided to grow some more lol All praise the whack jobs! |
LOL THESE ARE GREAT ! I need to add one :D I mow my backyard every FOUR Days in 100 degree heat so 'The Queens' don't get their little hoo-hoo's tickled by the grass |
Awww how sweet of you to protect the queens hoo hoos! |

Ok my list.. I won't show any embarrassing pictures of them (if I can help it) They can't be seen in public unless they are bathed and dressed and hair done. I on the other hand can be a total mess LOLOL I do their hair in the mornings before I even brush my own. They have to sniff my morning cup of coffee before I can drink it. They get homecooked meals once a week. They have far trendier clothes than I have. I make people get off "their" couch. I am sure there are more...just pretty much the house is THEIRS. |
Gotta protect those hoo-hoos:D OK - here's my list: 1. My babies get all the visitors here, not me 2. The babies get at least one delivery per week from UPS (working on their wardrobes) and THEY get to open the package. 3. The babies have more toys than my kids did when they were little 4. The babies have a huge selection of bath and beauty products - it equals mine. 5. I talk to them on the phone from work. I call and have my son put them speakerphone so I can talk to them. 6. They get a special meal cooked just for them once a week 7. I refer to them as babies at all times! This is one time when I WANT to be a whack job:) I wanna join the club, Villette, but the babies' hair isn't long enough to braid (yet) . Can I still be a member? |
although im totally not into the dress up your dog thing and style thier hair I must give you guys credit for you efforts!:) |
im am deff apart of this club !! yesterday i took brownie to get his shots well before we left he get brushed out and gel and a pretty bow in his hair all i did was throw some makeup on real quick and just threw my hair in a scrunchie walked out the door lol |

I need to add that I feed Susanah her breakfast with a spoon while she sits in my lap. :) |
Oh! Oh! I think I qualify! I have been having issues with Indoor peeing. A Trainer suggested that my guys were confused about the substrate. Outdoors they use a brick patio. Yesterday I went to the brick shop with a CAD drawing and had them cut 12 bricks 1/2" thick and various lengths. Then, I laid them in a plastic tub to create an Indoor pee spot with the same brick as our backyard. Hah! It has worked for one of them already! BTW, I had a story all planned that I was building a brick 'step' just in case anyone asked! Lin :animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa |

We definately qualify too!!! - We have 3 times more beds then Yorkies, so there are more then 1 bed in every room, lol. - We have a stroller and plan on getting another one soon. - We make sure when guests come they don't sit on the Yorkies section of the leather couch. - They have more trendy clothes they we do. - They get to eat their dog food and get extra healthy people food throughout the day. - We have more doggie toothbrushes in the bathroom then adult brushes( since there are only 2 of us here). - They have so many toys all over the house it looks like we have quadruplets running rampant in our house. |
Well according to my family I was a whack job way before I got Murfee. 1. Murfee goes everyplace with us. 2. When we are gone with Murfee he has to talk daily on the phone to my kids and grandkids. 3. I am at the present time shopping for just the right piece of furniture so Murfee can see out the living room window. You ought to see the salesmens faces when I tell them I amshopping for a piece of furniture for my yorkie:D 4. Murfee also has a stroller though we seldom use it 'cause he would rather be carried. 5. Murfee has several "frontpack" carriers. 6. My favorite shirt for Murfee is one that says "favorite child" 7. Even though he hates it, Murfee has lots of "all occasion" clothes, costumes, fishing jackets and hats, raincoats, shirts, and coats. Is that enough for now to certify me? Patty |
Oh my goodness this thread has me laughing! I do not think I can join yet because I do not have my baby yet, but hay I am nut's about him already and it's driving me crazy waiting for him to get born! Jeter has every thing ready for when he comes home, stroller, coat, boots, toy's,# 2 Yankee jersey, beds in three areas of house and all!;) My hubby has put a foot down to me getting him anything else till he is home with us, so I enlisted my mom to pick things out for him for me, After all her girl is going to be his girlfriend!!lol. My kids make comments about Jeter being spoiled before he is even born, He is expected to be born this fall and home by December so I'll have to join then!! |
Okay, I'll just list the most whack-job thing I do since it the most embarassing of all. I, Dawn, feed Milo by hand, all of his meals. :o For some reason---- I think a collar charm banging against the dish at some point-----------------------he thinks food dishes are evil beings out to get him. I have tried several dishes, plastic, ceramic, steel, as well as all the people dishes in the house. Oy. ***PS---who's John? (JK)*** Admiting my disfunction is the first step to recovery, right? |
Oohhh! I want IN too! Here's my whack job list: 1. I worry about them when we're gone anywhere more than an hour. 2. They have more hair accessories and styling products than I do. 3. I took the embroidered duvet cover off my bed, and have put an old cheap one that doesn't match anything in our house on the bed so their little toenails don't get stuck in the embroidery. 4. We have pee pads in 5 or 6 locations around the house at any given moment. 5. I'm a vegetarian, and I RARELY cook any meat for my husband, because I don't like the way it looks or smells, and I hate touching it. But, I buy, cut, and prepare meat for yorkie food because I know it's good for them! 6. We made them their own mini-pancakes this morning. 7. I spend more on haircuts for them than I do for myself. |

This is toooooooooo funny!!! I'm definately joining the wacko club and I'm very proud of it!!!! :D :D :D Let, see.......:p 1. My babies have their own bedroom with numerous pet beds and their very own futon. However, they sleep with us at night. :D 2. We had to buy a king size bed because we worried they didn't have enough room to be comfortable. 3. There's a small pet bed between Mikey and I's pillows that sits on our bed just for Pia. She prefers to be inside this pet bed and I also feel more safe having her in there. She usually never comes out unless she crawls onto my pillow to give me a kiss. ;) 4. At night my arms and legs have Snoot and Trixie sleeping on them and even if I'm not comfortable, I won't move them. 5. I seem to have a thing of nutri-cal in every purse I own. 6. My furbabies have more clothes then me and I had to learn how to sew just because of them. Before them I'm lucky if I could sew on a button. 7. I buy cheaper shampoo for myself but they've tried everything from the best to worse. 8. We definately have a stroller.......:D How dare they have to walk too much. 9. I don't leave them alone ever unless I absolutely have too. 10. I only trust my mother with them and I still make a hundred calls checking on them. 11. I had to buy a new hard drive for the computer just to save their pictures. 12. I haven't been to the doctor since who knows when, but they go if they even look odd to me. 13. I had to buy a dresser just for their clothes and now I need another. 14. When I take Snoot out to potty in the rain I hold the umbrella over him while I'm getting soaked. :p Ok, if you need any more proof, I could keep going............:) |
1- I had the carpet removed and expensive vinyl flooring installed in the office so the girls could stay in there and play. 2- I too get soaked while I hold the umbrella for Betty or Juju to potty. 3- I do not trust anyone to watch them. 4- I know the vet better than I know my own doctor. 5- I have spent MUCH more on vet bills since I got Betty (1/1/07) and Juju (5/25/07) than I have on my doctor bills in the last 5 years added together. 5- I squish up small amounts of wet dog food with my fingers to incorporate it into each and every piece of their dry food so they will eat the dry food. 6- I often feed Juju by hand if she hasn't eaten much...I'm scared she'll die of 'tinyness' 7- I shop for barettes (!!!!) I haven't worn any hair 'ornaments' since 3rd grade!! 8- I fix the girls' dinner plates (NEVER just plain dry dog food) and serve them (in another room) at the same time we eat dinner. 9- Betty is rotten and does NOT like to see me relaxing in front of the computer...so she barks like a maniac and pulls on my clothes until I lay on the floor so she can get her chewy and lay on my stomach to chew it!! I'd better stop here for now...I'm pathetic  |

OK . I want to join the whacko team too. Although I have the same as issues as many on here with buying the latest fashions, doing up there hair on a daily basis, paying top dolloar for hair care products, and taking them to a groomer on a regular basis, I think my biggest whacko issue is..... When my little Gwen goes potty, since she only has use of her one back leg, sometimes it is hard for her to keep her balance when she is taking a poopy, she falls back into it evey once in awhile, looks at me with her sad little puppy eyes, and I reassure her it is ok, And I pick my little baby up and wipe her little toosh for her, Just like I would my skin babies. P.S. I also forgot to add that me and mom both have our vet assistants home phone number and talk to her on a regular basis. So okay since we have well proved we are all whackos I think we should council the nonwhackos and make them crazy too. |
I passed over your thread before understanding what it was about. I thought you'd lost it using the term "whack job." But now that I've read Bettyeanne's post, I, too, would like to join. My replies to your original list are in parentheses.) 1. They have more clothes than I do and wear them regularly. (In Alaska, those clothes allow them to go for wintertime walks and stay alive.) 2. I fix my girls' hair on a daily basis, though not yet long enough for the trademark braid. (I don't do this, but I would if I had a girl. It allows their hair to be breed standard length and not get in their eyes.) 3. We own and use a doggie stroller. (Mine is a bike trailer, but it accomplishes the same thing. After their regular walk, it allows me to keep my dogs minds occupied during times they would normally be home sleeping in a corner.) 4. There are Yorkie toys and beds in just about every room of the house. (Much better than having them chew up the furniture out of boredom.) 5. The girls vacacation with us whenever possible and when not, I carry their picture and show people. (Again, it keeps their minds active to be cared for by someone who knows how to properly care for a Yorkie. As for pictures, my ipod is filled with them because I frequently run into people who want to see them.) 6. I pay to use an Internet Cafe to check in on YT when on vacation and without a computer!!!!! (Duh! Just because I'm on vacation doesn't mean I want to stop learning about my dog!) Someone needs a life. |
I haven't gotten my Lillian yet but I want to join!!:D 1. I've been researching for a year and I will be getting her in august...I tell my boyfriend I feel like I've been pregnant for a year...LOL:p 2. I've considered getting a Lillian credit card just so I can buy her clothes guilt free 3. I want to throw a baby shower after I get her 4. I've told my job that I will be working less after I get her 5. My boyfriend is afraid that I will pay more attention to her than him...lets be real I probably will!! LOL |
I want to join too!! Mine have more clothes than I do. I have to buy a dresser here soon so I can have somewhere to put all of them. I spend a lot of money for hair care products and accessories for them when I just use a cheap shampoo for myself. I spend hours on grooming them when I spend very little time on my own. They have their own potty tent so they can go potty with some privacy. Hey dogs need privacy too!! My schedule is completely worked around them. They eat much better food than I do, I just eat whatever is in the house at the time. For the boys, I wipe them with baby wipes everytime they go, can't have them smelling like pee now can I!! Their pictures take up almost all the room on my computer. Their is twice as many dog beds as their is dogs even though they still lay on the couches and my bed. They have so many toys that it looks like toyland here. They have a bed that is on my bed so that they can sleep in luxury. We just bought a house and when we were looking we were looking for the dogs. We had to make sure they will have their own room, plenty of room run in the house, a big backyard with some shade so they can run and play around, etc. Do I qualify??:D |
I think I definitely qualify! If Lacy's hair was thicker, I'd probalby put a braid in it too!! |
May I join??? First of all, I have to nominate Villette "Head Wacko"! Anybody second that nomination?? :p After reading all the "spoilings" I do almost every single one of them too! Lots of people have told Patrick that when they die, they want to come back as Toto!! One thing Toto has in common with Chanel & Cheri .... if grass touches her little hoo hoo, she jumps straight up and takes another 15 minutes looking for another "just right" spot! That's why I am so thankful she goes 99% of the time on wee wee pads!! And like MyTrixie's boys .... Toto turns around and backs up to have her little butt dried with a wipey!! :D BTW, sorry for the little joke!! |
I'm a definate whack job. 1. I have actually left my job one time when there was threat of a tornado headed toward my house. They did not have their collars on and I was worried if a window busted out and they ran, I'd never see them again. I actually told my boss, "you can fire me if you want, the only thing I have in the world are my babies". (no tornado) 2. I worry that their nails will get stuck in the couch when I'm at work. 3. I avoid doing social things that are far away or that are longer than an hour or so. 4. I refuse to move my couch to another area of the room because the boys wouldn't be able to look out the window. 5. I have purchased 6 sets of clippers in the past 2 years trying to find a quiet, cordless, etc one that works the best. 6. I have taken them to work with me just to keep an eye on them if they aren't acting right. 7. I will not leave them with anyone, or have them groomed professionally because something could go wrong. I wonder if I had some anti-anxiety meds, if I would still do these things.....PROBABLY:D I love this forum. Most of my friends think I'm a complete nut job about my babies, but here.....I'm just normal. |
