Yeah, I don't know how I would feel. I would def. try to get something out of it, it can only help pay for her medical bills, that you didn't know that you were going to have to pay. She will be a wonderful little girl!:aimeeyork |

My Chihuahua had her right eye put out by another dog shaking the heck out of a rope toy. She then developed glaucoma in the other eye and was on medication for over a year before it ulcerated and had to be removed as well. She has no eyes and is just as happy as she was with two. They don't know any better, but it's us moms who feel so bad for them. She now has dementia and loss of bladder and bowel control. She will even forget she is eating at times and just stop. She is on the downhill side, but she is still a happy 15 1/2 year old lady. Just love them and they will return that love, and in many ways. |
I'm sorry to hear about your babies eye injury. I can't believe the Breeder felt that they didn't need to disclose those facts to you, in my opinion you should be compensated in some manner. I wouldn't worry about your baby being any less happy with the loss of sight, from my experience they do just fine. We had a silver poodle who lost his sight at a very young age do to cataracts. "Nappy" short for Napolean because he did sleep quiet a bit got around fine throughout the house and our backyard. He even entertained himself when no one was around to play ball with him he'd get on the couch and knock the tennis ball down, listen for the bounce and go get and do it all over again.:) He lived to be 15 years old, he was a real love bug. |
We had a miniature horse with one eye. His eye got injured being kicked by another horse. He didnt have any problems at all. We had him for 10 years. My daughter and neice outgrew him, so we just gave him to a little old man to have on his farm. |
blind Awe poor baby:( |
so sorry to hear that, but as others have said, she probably does not know differently ... I would not even know how to check for that ... I guess we never even think of anything that drastic happening to a little one ... bless your heart for loving ... and for giving ... Yorkie hugs ... |
Some? I have no idea what you paid for the baby, but to me the breeder should be happy that she has a good home, and give you back most of the money. I see that while I was waiting for my internet to load (very, very slow tonight 2 -3 min between pages--extreme YT addiction to wait) a few others have mentioned that too. But I have know animals with loss of sight in one eye to live full happy lives. |
