$3,000 !! wow |
And she bought it from a pet store... |
Bel Air or Bismark - I wouldn't buy a yorkie or any other dog from a pet store. It's a shame Britney did, IMO.:( |

Well for the rest of us it sets a bad example, but I'm thinking the stores in that class probably get their pups from reputable breeders rather than mills or bad backyard breeders (as opposed to small home breeders who aren't bad). If I were going to buy a pup from a store for $3000 they better keep it in a felt-lined cage with it's own handler! |

WoW... celebreties having all the chances... they can defintly look for a reputable breeder... sheezzz |
Maybe isn't aware of what petstores are all about. |
I know.. I just saw that on E! |
Ugh...that's all she needs is a Yorkie (she already has three dogs), especially with two young boys and going through all her recent problems. There probably wasn't any reputable breeder that would sell a puppy to her. And damn..she named it LONDON...that is what I want to name my next puppy and I don't want everyone thinking I named it after Britney Spear's yorkie!! I was okay with Paris Hilton getting one but not Britney Spears! And I CANNOT believe she bought it from a petstore...someone needs to educate her fast. And the article even said "teacup" chihuahua...ignorance... |

Are they bad people too? |
pet shop See why ethical breeders do not sell their puppies to brokers and stores...Brittany has two toddlers, a tiny Yorkie is just what she does not need. People are not bad because they buy from a pet shop..just uninformed as to how to protect the breed. |

She's a goof I just hope she doesn't let her baby drive while drunk with the top down and no panties while she shows off that yorkie!!:D Hey, she had 2 kids with Kevin Federline... I think her lack of judgement has been demonstrated! Twice! |

Does anyone else find it strange that she bought a yorkie just a couple days after Paris Hilton did? I mean the article says she walked into the store, walked right to the dog section, picked up the yorkie and bought it...was in the store less than 30 minutes. Sounds to me likes she's a bit of a copy cat... Most people spend more than 10 minutes picking out a puppy |

My friends dont sell my dogs for me and I don't sell theres. I will refer a prospective buyer to someone I know and vice versa but I still interview extensively and I am the one dealing directly with anyone interested in one of my dogs or pups. If that same pup ended up in a poorer area, it would have been a fraction of the price. As with any store, they priced their wares at whatever price people are silly enough to pay. Celebrities and/or wealth does not ever insure a good home. IN fact it is often the opposite and I tend to be very cautious with them. I have only sold once to someone very wealthy, same price as any of my pet puppies. The person was so down to earth and sensible I forgot she was wealthy, and she is the best friend of another pup owner of mine that I felt very comfortable selling the wealthy person this pup. As for Brittany, my opinion is --'just another air head allowed to run loose." |
I just hope she takes care of the little guy/girl. She just does not seem like someone who will take the effort for all the care a yorkie needs. |
Paris Hilton has been spotted with a new Yorkie puppy recently too! They both went from Chihuahuas to Yorkies. LOL |

Everything looks good on paper, that is until it is challenged. No reputable breeder will allow a pet store, broker or anyone else to sell their puppies, they do it themselves after stringent interviews and will provide all the help and info required for that pup. |
She needs to buy some sense. I have no idea what is wrong with these people just buying pets to buy them. |

I know!!! Why the heck she gotta go and name it London?!!!?? Gosh...lol Now a lot of ppl are gonna do the same, they are making yorkies more popular and they are gonna buy them from petstores and name them London! She has enough pets as it is, with 2 kids, I read that K-fed used to get mad cause the pups would poop and she wouldn't pick it up and it would be on the floor right next to her kids, where they crawled:thumbdown |

I have been ironically working, also in Ohio, to shut down these pet stores. I still say that education is the key. I try to not judge folks who may have bought from a puppy store, because a lot of them just don't understand the whole puppy mill thing!! Spreading the word and educating people is absolutely the BEST thing we can do and will get us much furthur than passing judgement. People see a darling puppy in a store and unsuspectingly buy it. The saddest part about this, in my opinion, is the fact the the majority of these purchases are "impulsive" and not well thought out. Any puppy is a HUGE responsibilty and not one to be taken lightly. I pray for Brittney's puppy's sake that he will be well cared for. |
