Can you believe this?? My Daughter has one of my Daisy pups. (Gus) They were out side and heard a car door and saw this lady walking up there drive way. Thinking nothing of it When suddenly they heard there big big dog Luke start barking. They thought maybe Luke bite the lady. Well, when they got closer the lady had picked up the pup and Luke had her traped in a corner. They lady asked my daughter if that was her pup My daughter ask what she was doing..She got in her car and my daughter heard her say "Honey we almost had another puppy" That lady walk into my duaghter yard and try to steal her Puppy? She did not get a plate number. But did report it to the police and they thought nothing of it.. |
   What the heck???!!! There are some creepy people out there. Its so scary. |
omg that is crazy. Good thing Luke stopped them! |

where in Michigan?? Im also in michigan and curious? |
this is EXACTLY why I dont even let mine out unsupervised even when they are in the fence... some people are just crazy! |
so scarry i hate this but i dont even like people to come fix my washing machine !!!!!!last year who ever delivered the New Yellow pages was behind a puppy nabbing operation .. i am sometimes so freaked out i want cameras put up |
Did you get a good look at her and a good enough description of the vehicle so you can identify her if you saw her again? Is it a small town where you are likely to run into her some time? I cant believe she thought she could just walk up and take someones dog. It wasnt hers and she could see it obviously belonged to someone. Stupid people anyway. |
OMG    are you serious? wow. thank God for the bigger dog cornering her. it kills me that the police don't care. if it were a child...they would be all over it. media and all, i'm sure. i'd go to the media myself. |
If I was your daughter, I would not be letting that puppy out of my sight form now own, she knows that a puppy is their and almost nabbed it once, she'll try again!! It happened to my family when I was a kid! When I was younger we had our Pom stolen from our fenced in back yard ,after the people had tried once before. My mom went to hang sheets out and the lady was in our back yard trying to get Shanday to come over to her. My mom called Shanday to her and asked the lady what she wanted and she hopped the back fence and took off. 3 weeks later Shanday was missing after mom let her outside for 5 minutes! We lived in a decent little area and a person two blocks over saw her neighbors with Shanday and called my mom. She went over to talk to the lady and they tried saying that they found her roaming the park! We got her back and mom would sit out when she put her outside after that! |
Horrible and frightening. I am becoming paranoid myself when I'm out with Kalina. And why won't the police do anything to help? |
That is terrible. I am really getting to the point that I am not going to walk my dogs other than in the back yard, it's plenty big enough for them to get exercise. Whenever service people come I have all 3 dogs closed in a bedroom. I may be paranoid but all it takes is one crqzy person to want a free dog. It makes me mad that the police don't even care. Hopefully this person will be caught. |
That is unreal! and you got lucky the other dog cornered her... I laughed when i read this "Honey we almost had another puppy" cause i put a country accent on it and imagined it as a line is a movie where the main characters have issues an no morals lol or even cruela deville with a Russian accent... the way you wrote it i saw the whole scene play out in ma head I am sooo glad ur puppy is ok. I am so sick of reading about stolen dogs, and at least u didn't become another statistic |
OMG..Thank God she came out to checon the barking. I don't allow my babies out from any more, they have to go to the fenced in yard out back with me right there with them. |
Thank goodness she had Luke to stop the lady. I hope the police will follow up in your area. |
Thank you for posting this - it is a great reminder that these little ones are so popular and some ppl will steal them if given a slight opportunity. I'm so glad the bigger dog alerted you! He deserves a huge treat!! |
Oh my goodness. This is horrible. |
OMG, what is this world coming too :thumbdown So glad your daughter saw her in time. |
That's so so scary. Thank God for Luke and for her hearing Luke barking. Do y'all think this stuff will only get worse now that Paris Hilton has a yorkie? Do you think her popularity will only raise the popularity of yorkies and make thefts increase? I know that's a morbid thought but I put nothing past anybody. |
this is awful..you hear more and more of this happenning i had forgotten until i read this post that we had a "family" across the street that kinda of did this. the daughter would take dogs out of people back yards and claim she found them and would tried to turn them in the the shelter we worked for, then we found out what she was doing and let the authorities know. they would also call the animal control on people on the neighborhood after that, stating that the dogs were barking and they tried to the get the people in trouble that had turned them in. They are a weird family, the father left to become a woman which i know is more and more common but whew!! thats the uglies woman i have ever seen...lol P.s. i truly hope im not offending anyone with that last comment im not meaning to |

:thumbdown What a shame some people have to sink so low.... tsk tsk tsk... They cant imagine the heartache of the family... How awful they will feel:mad: I think all yorkie owners are paranoid with all these thefts of yorkies... man its just tooo saddddd! |
That is scarey. We all need to get Pitt Bull body guards for our yorkies. |

WOW! How scary! Thank goodness that big brother Luck was on guard duty! I am so thankful that this bizzar horror story had a happy ending. Sending hugs :ghug: |
Did the police at least file an incident report?? You really need to make them put that on the record in case that lady comes back or you see her in the area and can get her tag" and then add that to your incident report. I think if you make a big enough fuss about it they will give you a incident report ##..also given what is going on with Zeke in our other thread I would post flyers in your area re this incident to alert other dog owners..try to nip it in the bud now!!! So glad that they did not get this baby!! People are just nuts now a days!!! |
Wow! where in Michigan? I live in Michigan! I always have my little one on a harness an Leash when I take them out. They are never alone outside, but you never know how bold anyone could be. Shoot they could hit you in the head and take them. People don't care anymore. Brenda & Max & Bobo & Libby will keep a lookout all the time now. Guess I will have to get me a Cujo to keep my babies safe! |
quick send me Luke's addy I want to send him a big ol treat. What a good dog. |
