He is like having a little person with me at all times (i guess that i raised him right, the ceaser way) But I was just wondering does any seen o know of 1 bigger then him. I know he has to be the worlds largest yorkie.:animal-pa |
Nope I thought our Mazie was large she is about 13-14 pounds. But she too is healthy but has a very strong personality. how big were your pups parents? |
Hi and welcome to you and your "Teapots" to YT. I was just thinking of posting a Thread to see just how many above standard Yorkies are actually on YT and this popped up. Buddy is 15.5lbs now and I truly hope he is finally finished growing at 3 1/2 yrs.old. I would love to see pictures of your beautiful boy. Can you post some? |
aww I would love to see pictures of your boy. :) Welcome to YT! We with the bigger dogs have what we call the "Teapot" yorkies. :D My Tucker is 14-15 pounds. I have a smaller one and a bigger one. I think Tucker is a lot more "sturdy" and I'm not as worried about him jumping off the couch, etc. |
hey welcome i have a 18 pound boy do you have a picture of you baby?? |
WOAH thats one big yorkie. I would love to see a pic. My rocky is 9 pounds and 9 months, with long skinny legs |
Sugar is a little over 10 pounds. I'd love to get all of the larger yorkies together and take them to some people's houses who don't think that Sugar is a "real" yorkie just because of her size. I'm glad Sugar isn't a tiny little thing since I have two little girls who like to carry her around. If she was smaller I'd have to worry more about them hurting her. Sign us up for the teapot club! |
big Wee Wee heres his pics.... I dont know the size of hs momma and daddy i was to happy to get him in my arms. |
Not sure if Harley is bigger than yours or not. You said that your dog is 20-25lbs....my Harley is 22lbs. and is all Yorkie, just big. :) Tammy |

Welcome! We love the big boys! Yes, YT has made me feel at ease with Ozzie weighing 14 pounds. I can't tell you how many times I have been quizzed as to his "mixed" breeding. (He's NOT ... he's all Yorkie!) And then thought either a liar or an idiot when I insist he's purebred. I nicknamed him "Moosey" when he was a baby because I thought for sure we'd have the world's first 40-pound Yorkie, he grew so much that first year! Now that he's 10, I can only hope he's done. He has gained a pound, however, since being neutered last year. I think this parents were 4 and 5, or 5 and 6 pounds, nowhere near his size. |

My mother used to breed Yorkies. One litter of 5 puppies had 4 that grew to be about 5 lbs as adults. However, the 5th puppy turned out to be a whopper and grew to be 25 lbs. He was returned to her because the owners didn't want him anymore :( She had a lifetime guarantee policy where an owner can get their money back if they ever wanted to give the dog back. I don't know why they didn't want him because he was really sweet. She has a picture of him somewhere. She's a lurker on here but maybe she will post it. He's the cutest thing! |
Do you guys remember how big your puppies were when they were about 13 weeks old? I am trying to figure out about how big my puppy will get, but her weight isn't on the growth chart..... She is 4.2 lbs at 13 weeks. |

I've learned that each dog is different. Your baby may -- or may not -- grow a lot. Some seem to have a spurt and then stop. Others grow steadily. While some don't start til later and then grow. And, diet and exercise -- just as it does with humans -- plays a role. |

She'll probably be around 9-10lbs. |
1 Attachment(s) My Sophie is a 12lb girl who's parents where 4 and 5lbs. I think she is perfect but I always get man she is big. I am like yeah she is our porkie. They usually just laugh then and say how pretty she is and that they like her haircut. :aimeeyork |
I am so glad to find this thread. Just yesterday, my husband ran in to someone who said she was a breeder. He was talking to her and showed her Zeus' picture. He was telling her how he was almost 11 lbs. She had the nerve to ask him if he was mixed with a poodle and if we knew his blood line. I am so glad that I was not there, I take exception to my baby. He is the best dog (breed) that I have ever had. I would never choose another!:animal36 |
4 Attachment(s) Here are Wee Wee and Maggie May May. :) They are so pretty! |
They are gorgeous and have such sweet faces! :) Love your big boy's coloring. He has more white than you normally see. |
OMG they are sooooooooooo cute!! |

Awwwwwwww just so darn cute. I think it is amazing how big this breed can get and still be so dang adorable. They loose nothing in the way of looks just because they are bigger.;) |
