| Dolce is back! Ok she is now home and so groggy and tired...i think. She also had to have a bunch of teeth removed too. She doesnt wanna eat anything...I've tried twice to give her dinner and she doesnt want anything...she has drank ALOT of water though. Is this ok?? All she wants to do is sit on my lap. I put her down and she looks at me like "please pick me up mom"....how can i resist??? They gave me antibiotics and pain meds (but he told me only to use them if needed). I hope she is ok and eats some food either later or tomorrow morning...she hasnt eaten anything since like 8 last night. Did ur babies not eat anything either??? I dont know now if I am going to be able to give her the antibiotics tonight if she doesnt want anything. I feel so bad for her! Thanks for all ur well wishes everyone...any and all advice would be so helpful!!!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I agree on the Nutracal ...if you feel she's gone too long - or boiled chicken & rice if the vet says it's ok... poor baby - hopefully she'll be back to herself tommorrow ...it must be so hard seeing her like this - I'd just sit and hold her if you can...sounds like she needs her mommy Big Hugs from Houston for Dolce .... |

| I am glad she is fine and the surgry went well. Nutrical is a great idea. Just quiet love and care is the best thing right now. Hope she's feeling better real soon! |

| Melissa, I'm so glad you have Dolce back with you. She needs her mommy right now. I know it's different (duh!) but when Bo got neutered I felt like he really needed the pain meds and didn't hesitate to give them. He also had teeth pulled and a dew claw removed. Actually the dew claw was the worst part. Just use your intuition about the meds. She'll be fine I'm sure.

| Isn't it a relief that it is over? I'm glad everything went well. I agree with Cynthia about the medication. Gus had a tooth removed and that bothered him more than being neutered. I hope she is feeling like her old self soon.

| I'm glad you are able to spend the time comforting her! It will surely help her recovery. I'm also glad you gave her the pain meds., animals don't cry out (usually) like we do, but it still hurts. You usually don't hear a peep out of a female giving birth or a pet who just had an amputation....but you know it hurts! Wishing your little baby a very fast recovery! Julz |

| She will be up and around more Aww, I just had Louie "fixed" to and I was so scared when I first brought him home from the vet because he was soo groggy (they gave him morphine!) He did not eat that whole first day, so I put his pain med in a little bit of peanut butter on my finger and he ate it right up. He was still a little sore and out of it the second day, but by the 3rd he was his old playful self again. I just held him and rested with him while he recovered too. Good Luck hun. Tami |

| It sure is nerve wracking for all us mommies and daddies...I was so ecstatic when i went to pick her up!! That is a great idea too about the peanut butter to give her the meds...it took 10 min this morning to get the antiobiotic down. I know I keep saying it, but I really and truly appreciate all the help, advice and support u guys gave...YT IS THE BEST!!!
