Earliest time your Yorkie's ears went up? When was the earliest time your Yorkie's ears went up? I have a 7 week old puppy and his ears aren't up...yet. lol. I'm really hoping that they will go up soon. :D |
welcome to YT! What part of Texas are you from? Lacy's ears didn't go up until after 3months and I had to tape them for a couple days. I've seen pics of babies as early as 8 weeks with ears up..just depends on the individual puppy and how big their ears are. |
i can't even think of an age because they went up and down as she lost her baby teeth.. and some days one will still flop down and she is 16 months!! Welcome to YT!! |
I dont really think taping makes a difference. Their ears usually go up any where around 4-6 months. Daisy's went up at around 4 months-5 months. Your pup is still very young..be patient as I'm sure they'll go up! :) |
Peeka's ears were up by 8 weeks and we got Daisy at 11 weeks and her ears were up when she got here!! |
Jake's ears have been up for as long as I've known about him, when he was 3-4 weeks old. His ears never went down when he was teething, they've always just stood straight up.:aimeeyork |
Both of the girls ears were up at 7 weeks old. The breeder told me that when they shaved Lillie's ears they popped right up. |
skoshis were up at 7 or 8 weeks old all i did was clip the hair around his ears and they came right up! |
did you try clipping the hair on the edges of his ears they may be weighing them down! |
My puppies ears are usually up between 6 and 7 weeks. |
My mom Was My Daisy's Breeder and her ears were up from Day 1 and Never faultered (SP) Kodi was about 3 months. |

Mari's was up at 6 weeks, Kodaks was up then the flopped and never went back up. So now I love his floppy ears, they only go up when he gets excited.:) |
between 6-7 weeks |
Reece's came up one ear at a time and never went back down...Soleil is Reece's baby sister and her ears are already trying to stand...I think by around 12 weeks they will go up...I think lol.. Dawn |
I believe that Copper's breeder shaved his ears (top half) for us at 11 weeks, they were standing that day. But I think that it really depends on the dog and ears, just like kids, they are all at their own pace! |
Luigi just turned 4 months and his ears are straight up. But when I got him just in June, one of his ears was floppy at the tip and bent back. It was cute, like a little trademark of his. But now theyre straight :D |
Welcome to YT! Roxie's ears were up by 8 weeks. She should begin teething very soon. So her ears might go down...but I think floppy ears are cute! |
1 Attachment(s) Lucy's ears are up here is a picture when she was about 8.5 weeks old. |
I have complete litters that were born with their ears up and never went down. Then I have had a couple in a litter that required coaxing by taping for a couple of days here and there. |
Hello I Brought Harvey Home At 8 Weeks And His Ears Were Up, And Really Big - Happily Though He Has Now Grown Into Them A Little Bit, Ha Ha Ah |
My first puppy was born with her ears looking like they were up and they never went down. I had another litter that was three weeks when they went up and I have had two that i have had to work on forever but finally went up at four months. |
Zoeys went staright up at about 9-10 weeks. It only lasted for a week. They both flopped back down. Now she is 17 weeks. Both are up, but one is floppy if she is tired. We never taped them. I saw some good iillustrated instructions on the web if you are gonna give it a try. |
Both my kids ears went up at about 12 weeks I think, but no later than that and I didn't even have to tape them ;) |
