Reece's came up one ear at a time and never went back down...Soleil is Reece's baby sister and her ears are already trying to stand...I think by around 12 weeks they will go up...I think lol.. Dawn |
I believe that Copper's breeder shaved his ears (top half) for us at 11 weeks, they were standing that day. But I think that it really depends on the dog and ears, just like kids, they are all at their own pace! |
Luigi just turned 4 months and his ears are straight up. But when I got him just in June, one of his ears was floppy at the tip and bent back. It was cute, like a little trademark of his. But now theyre straight :D |
Welcome to YT! Roxie's ears were up by 8 weeks. She should begin teething very soon. So her ears might go down...but I think floppy ears are cute! |
1 Attachment(s) Lucy's ears are up here is a picture when she was about 8.5 weeks old. |
I have complete litters that were born with their ears up and never went down. Then I have had a couple in a litter that required coaxing by taping for a couple of days here and there. |
Hello I Brought Harvey Home At 8 Weeks And His Ears Were Up, And Really Big - Happily Though He Has Now Grown Into Them A Little Bit, Ha Ha Ah |
My first puppy was born with her ears looking like they were up and they never went down. I had another litter that was three weeks when they went up and I have had two that i have had to work on forever but finally went up at four months. |
Zoeys went staright up at about 9-10 weeks. It only lasted for a week. They both flopped back down. Now she is 17 weeks. Both are up, but one is floppy if she is tired. We never taped them. I saw some good iillustrated instructions on the web if you are gonna give it a try. |
Both my kids ears went up at about 12 weeks I think, but no later than that and I didn't even have to tape them ;) |
