wasnt going to say anything but.. from what i have been reading this morning cant remember where but i know it was about chorkies i think that there are some people in here that mix breeds are less and tend to judge people on the breed and where they get them from. i am trying not to let a few comments make me not come to yt because i know i can learn alot, but sometimes reading some posts can make it hard to want to come here. i know my feelings were hurt because i posted a site that i got my chorkie from and some coments were no way would i get a dog from there ect.. i am greatful to the people that lola came from, i dint get her from them, someone else baught her and decided they didnt want her, she had a mast cell tumor when i got her at 13 weeks and i called the breeder explained what she had they sent me proof that both parents were genetically tested and offered to pay her vet bills or replace her or give me pick of what ever littler i wanted. remember i didnt purchase her directly from them.i think that people are to quick to judge others sometimes and need to remember that everyone in yt loves their dogs no matter what kind it is. |

People were just appalled that places like that exist. They are not only breeding numerous breeds, but numerous species!...with numerous animals available for sale at one time! There is no way that all of those animals are living in the house and getting the care that a reputable breeder would provide. |

edited to add - when there's so many people reading this site...people tend to speak up and it's a good thing they do - that's how everyone learns |

Oh good grief! When I was little ANY mixed breed dog was called a mutt or a heinz 57. I had a dog and I loved him to pieces. He truly was mutt. We had no clue what he had in him. He died of old age but the sad truth was that he wasn't a pure bred dog. I didn't bother me that the VET even called him a mutt. It was what it was. I loved him just as much. You just have to let some of this go. If you feel better calling them a "mixed" breed then do so. I don't know that I would jump on someone because of their choice of words tho. TO me it is kind of silly. Just for the record the smartest dog that I personally had ever known was my mutt. I taught him SOO many tricks and he stayed right by my side growing up. He could roll over, sit and stay and only come on my command, walk up ladders, slide down the slides, jump through hoops, rollover, shake, sit, crawl, and many more. |

I had a chi/yorkie. Things just didn't work out for us. When I first got her I posted pictures and I NEVER had one person say anything to me about have a dog that wasn't purebred. Not one person. I got so many replys about how cute she was. We simply made a comment about the site that you posted. That is a huge difference. There are a ton of Yorkie "mixes" on YT. I was just telling someone the other day that her maltese/yorkie was simply adorable! You said not to be so quick to judge others but it seems like you did the same with some of us. |
