Upset Mommy! First off, I know I'm new to the site but it's not hard to see that I love my little Bobby! With that said, let me start my little rant - I was in the supermarket with Bobby today & his little head was sticking out as I walked about. I passed a group of teenage girls & as usual, one of them commented on how cute he was. Of course, I smiled & commented on how much of a rascal he was but how I loved him. Now this is would've been all normal & whatnot, had I not heard what came out of one of them next.. I walked away & my ears caught "Pretty cute for a mutt! That's not a Yorkie, it's a cheap fakie!" After that, the girl laughed walked off! I wanted to wring her neck but I kept cool & just kept shopping! Bobby's about 3 months & 4lbs.. He's a bit bigger but I don't care - I love him all the same. My boyfriend & I both adore him & spoil him rotten & he's become a part of our little family! I'm just mad.. & I needed to vent! Thanks guys! |
Awww that was mean of her to say! Don't worry about it. All that matters is that we love our babies, and he is a cutie if that's him in your avator :) |

Sometimes people just don't think and are downright rude. Don't let it bother you. Your baby is adorable, and you love him. Who cares what someone you'll probably never see again thinks. Just enjoy your sweet baby.:) |

I take him when I go grocery shopping! He loves being in his little carrier & sticking his head out. :) |
Yea, our puppy is 6 months and weights close to 9lbs. People don't think he's a yorkie, but we don't mind. |

I can imagine how you feel. People (esp. teenagers) can be cruel. He is a lucky little guy. Does he get to feel the tomatoes? LOL |

Pure Breed He look pure breed and is very cute! He actually looks like my Teddy did and he is one handsome adult Yorkie. I think you have a Yorkie that will be very handsome as an adult. Teenagers don't know it all even though they would like to think they do..:animal36 |

I am so very sorry that you had this bad experience. Sending hugs :ghug: That was a mean ignorant thing for anyone to say and just because someone says something mean doesn't mean it's true. Your Bobby is a precious loved little dude. I was told as a child and I taught my children: Just because you have the Right to say something doesn't mean it's Right to say it. I just don't understand why people go out of their way to find mean negative things to say. Like what's the point? I guess some people are so very unhappy they have to try to make others unhappy. Or..... was this uncaring little girl so insecure that she needed to say something she thought was "cool" so her groupies would think clever..... |
Opinions are like @ssholes, we all have them and some of them stink,lol. Ignore comments from people like that, what do they know. |
That was mean but I wouldnt give a hoot about what some dumb, rude, inexperienced teenager thought about anything really. They dang sure dont know anything about being polite and respectful of their elders so I wouldnt worry about it. You love him and he is a doll and that is all that matters. |
She was a teenager, they think they know everything when they don't know squat. I wouldn't let it bug you, consider the source. :D hugs to Bobby |
Awww...I am so sorry that happened to you, people don't think Abigail is a yorkie sometimes because she is larger too. It makes me mad too, they just don't know any better. |
your reaction is pretty normal . . . I would be so irked as well :) And yes no mattter what shape a form, we DO LOVE OUT BABIES :thumbup: and that really is all that matters. |

I'm sorry you had to go through that. I'm glad it wasn't me - cuz lately (maybe it's pre-menopause or SOMETHING) I've been pretty vocal and would have called her on it and say "Excuse me? What did you say?" :D My teenage son was practicing his driving this weekend, when a bunch of the neighbor kids yelled to him "GET OFF THE ROAD, LEARN TO DRIVE!" We stopped and I yelled "Excuse me? What did you say?" - they all got quiet and one kid said "nothing". Funny how they had nothing to say...;) |
Dont listen to her, your baby is adorable. Purebred or not, your baby is cute. I have a yorkiepoo, and i've gotten some comments that upset me. I know where you are coming from. I guess we just have to learn to ignore immature teens like that. |
She's probably just jealous that she doesn't have a little yorkie who loves her as much as yours love you! |
