it has happened to me while Freeway was in my bed and I went searching .... Muffy (the shihtzu) gave me a strange look... we sure are a worrisomoe group. |
My hubby said that is something I would do. I had to share this with him...giggle, giggle:D . Since I have been reading all the posts about freak accidents or doggie theft, I have been having terrible dreams about something happening to my Hallee and Gracie. |
I pleaded Temporary Insanity Boy oh boy can I ever relate to that, except I did that once when my daughter was a baby and her brother was two. Was chasing my two year old around and then couldn't find his sister......I was holding her the whole time.... so yes, it can happen to anyone....:p |
I've done that with my glasses but not my babies yet, but you never know, it is a good thing to worry about your yorkies in this crazy world, you can not be too careful!!!!!! I call my sweet little Angel, PookyPot, I don't know where it came from, I just started calling her that and it also stuck, and I am always saying where's my little PookyPot, or come on Pooky, my husband even calls her PookyPot, it's funny where our nick names come from!!!!! |
LMAO!!!! I did this earlier today. I got up to do laundry and morgan followed me in the room. When i finished i turned to walk out and called her to follow. She wasn't there. so i called again expecting her to come running from around the corner or come running down the stairs. Nope. so here i am yelling "Morgan?????" "MOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRGAN!!!!!!" "POOOOOOOOOOPERS??????" No response from her. you know where she was? two feet away from me in her bed  looking at me like 'why the hell are you screaming my name, i'm right here' |
This whole thread is so funny....glad I'm not the only scatter brain lol |
This thread is tooooo funny! Are any of us old enough to blame these lapses on a "senior moment"? I am also freaking out the past few weeks if I cannot see my babies, what with all the Yorkies MIA. Scares me to death. Much to friends' disgust, I refused to leave them on July 4th, but was pleased to see many Yt's here felt the same way. |
At what age can you blame it on a senior moment? Yep...been there, done that!!! Didn't notice I was holding him, til he went "ERF"... |
HAHAHAHAHA... bless your heart. that really did make me laugh very hard but...i'm sorry you had to panic like that. i bet you were a wreck. i do that with my car keys...but never my kids :) |
My husband went through shear panic a few weeks ago when he couldn't find Adie. He works out in the garage all day but (because he has a really bad back) he comes in every hour or so to sit down for a few minutes. Adie is always at the back door to greet him but she wasn't that day. He looked all over for her going from a walk to a run. He even ran all over outside too thinking he might have let her slip out. (The yard is enclosed - but you never know.) He was opening doors and crawling under furniture yelling for her the whole time. The longer he looked the more panic stricken he got. He knew that I would divorce him if he lost my dog. Besides his own grief he didn't want me to go through such sadness either. Finally he looked in her crate and there she was sound asleep. Of course he thought she was dead (who wouldn't since he had been yelling her name so loud!) He picked her up and she opened one sleepy little eye then liked his nose. She stirred a little then came to life. Believe me when I say my dog sleeps soundly! |
