Question fo all the boys out there.. 1 Attachment(s) How many of you trim your boys and how many of you keep their hair long? I am thinking about cutting Jazzy's hair over his eyes because I can never see them and he is not the best with bows. I am afraid I will regret it if I do. If you have pictures of your boys that would be great! |
3 Attachment(s) I was not sure I would like Peanut's hair cut either, but once I had it done I loved it. He is going tomorrow for a full body haircut. I have been having troble with fleas, he came home from the old groomers with them. I have started using frontline and minksheen along with spraying with the oils. I think with having his hair short with will help me get a handle on them. |
we keep Max's face shorter because he gets eye goop and his bangs grow where he can't see and we keep his body about medium length, longer than our female but not as long as a traditional Yorkie style. |
1 Attachment(s) I cut Timmy's bangs short in the front and keep the other long just in case I want to put his hair up. I'm at work and this is the best pic of him I have here. You can see where everything else is long and falls to the side away from his eyes. I cut the front really short almost close to his skin but leave enough hair so you can't see his skin. |
I can't post pic from work but you can see Buddy in my avatar. I keep it long on the sides and his bangs cut short. It's never in his face, which drives me nuts and I always get to see his sweet face. |

looks like Timmy and Buddy have the same hair style:D :D I also love to see Timmy's face! |
I try to use clips/claws for Marcel (avatar) - I'm going to try not to cut his bangs. |
I keep Murfee fairly short. When I clip him I use the 1 inch thingie:D ..don't know what it is called. I use my husbands mustaush (bad spelling) clippers around Murfees eyes...I may cut him a little shorter this time for summer. Patty |
1 Attachment(s) Bruizers hair is just getting long ( I shaved him a couple times) He is fine with a top knot in his hair now. If he dont like the top knot and you want to see his eyes I would recommend the puppy cut. It leaves longer hair on the body but short on the face. |
2 Attachment(s) Here is Brodie :) He wears a pony tail all the time :) |
2 Attachment(s) We keep Rex and Rowdy cut short - our lifestyle is just not conducive to the longer hair and they both love to be brushed, but hate it when there is tangles. Here are a couple of pictures. |
2 Attachment(s) I'm apparently a weirdo and prefer the puppy cut on little boys so here's a couple of Tucker. The first one is right after the groomer for the first time and the second one is just a few days ago. It's time for another haircut but the first pic is a little too short for even me. |

i keep it long. it much to deal with cutting the bangs every month but if his hair does not grow fast then i would say do it. they are cute either way |
1 Attachment(s) Joey always has a topknot. I've thought about giving him a hair cut, but just can't bring myself to do it. |
little boys 1 Attachment(s) We like to trim his hair short so we can see his eyes. Because he still chews/eats everything in sight we don't put anything in his hair, as he may eat it!!! I like a yorkie with a hair cut! |
2 Attachment(s) I keep Chewy in a puppy cut. When I trim his face, I don't cut it very short. So I can still get a rubber band in his hair to do a topknot, but if he doesn't have one, he can still see. I posted a pic of him both ways.:) |
2 Attachment(s) I keep Izzy's hair short. Less maintenance. I actually cut it myself a few times. Here are his pics from the last haircut: |
1 Attachment(s) I keep joey in a puuy cut as well for summer, he has the thickest coat, always matts very easy. |
2 Attachment(s) I wanted Olivers hair to be long so I could keep it in a ponytail, but it never really grew enough for it. Now I just keep it short, he likes it better and he looks cleaner. Before...After LOL |
1 Attachment(s) Here is a picture of Chewie and his do. Not too short, not to long Very easy upkeep. And he's adorable. |
1 Attachment(s) Ozzie's IS long on top but we always keep it combed back, out of his eyes. I always trim around his eyes and face, leaving the sides long. I'm going to give him a bath today or tomorrow and debating whether I want to attempt a full body trim or not. He still has his full coat and it is so blasted hot here. We'll see how brave I am once he's clean.:D |
1 Attachment(s) Here's Tiger . . I keep it short and love it but I did not groom him myself. :) |
4 Attachment(s) Here are some pictures of my Stedman. I keep his hair cut in a medium length (I groom him myself) and his face in sort of a "puppy cut". The hair on his face isn't SUPER short - but isn't by any means "long". And...the hair on his body isn't "long" - but it isn't short either, lol. Kinda hard to explain but I just groom him how I like him :p The first 3 pictures shows more of his body length (excuse the belly band...I know I have better pictures of his body, but I can't seem to find them right now ) and the last picture shows a close up of how I keep his face trimmed :) |
1 Attachment(s) Maxwell is now in a puppy cut, well actually, he IS a puppy -- but I plan on keeping him in a puppy cut even when he becomes a big boy. |

1 Attachment(s) Im trying to let Slade grow out so I can see how long he will get. He is a yorkie/poodle mix so its a bit different, but its looking as if he'll have longish hair so I just keep his eyes trimmed since they get nasty gunky and I try to keep bows in his hair so its up out of his eyes. |
1 Attachment(s) I keep Sedrick in a full coat and he wears a ponytail all the time. Doogan, on the other hand I have had a hard time getting good hair growth so he is a work in progress. Below is a pic of Sedrick wearing his everyday look. Lorraine and the Monkeyboyz (sedrick and doogan) |
