Puppy Stolen out of 7 yr old arms I had a call from someone I had sold a puppy to a few months ago. They live in Cleveland, Ohio and have a new baby 7 yr old and a 9 yr old girls. The 7 year old who was the puppy's side kick had the puppy outside in the front yard in her arms. A car stopped in front of their house and a teenage boy jumped out grabbed the puppy out of the little girls arm and took off. The Mom came out and they were turning the corner. The neighbor got a plate number and they filed a police report but they do not have the puppy back. The Dad has put a reward out and word on the street he will pay double to get the pup back. the little girl won't come out of the house and crys all the time. She wants her dog not another one. This is so sad. |
Thank goodness he took the dog and not the girl! What a monster! I would never let my kid out of the house again! Hope they catch the jerk and get the puppy back! |
HeartBreaking Please Keep us updated |
Omg how sad! Good thing they got the plate #. Hopefully they can get it back. |
How very awful. I cannot believe what people will do to be mean. I feel so sad for the family and for the little girl. This is a horror story. |

That is so aweful! I bet that terrified that little girl. I hope the puppy can be found. That's great that the neighbor got the plate numbers - hopefully the police will act fast and locate the owners of this car. I'm really worried about what is going to happen to this puppy...especially with teenagers like that. |
That is just so horrible!! They need to make puppy stealing have EXTREMELY high punishment to help keep this under control. That poor little girl. I think I would be terrified to go out of my house. Thank god is was the dog and not the girl, but still..... |
I am so thankfully that they left the little girl alone! I so hope that they are able to get their puppy back. How nasty can people get just makes me sick! |
OMG how awful. please keep us posted. have the parents call the radio and tv stations. maybe this will help. what have the police done, if the tag was not stolen- they should have located the owners by now. I WOULD BE CLIMBING THE WALLS. |
OMG it's getting so dangerous for our little furry friends:( I"m glad at least that the little girl wasn't harmed during this theft. I hope they catch these jerks:mad:!!! |
This sounds like what happened to a someone who lives in the same neighborhood as I. My neighborhood is gated and when the gate is opened, it is only timed for one car and doesn't reopen like the gates at apartments does. An 8-year-old boy was playing with his puppy outside in the front yard and a teenager (about 15-16 years old) got out of a car and snatched the puppy and left and the boys older brother was able to get the plate numbers and it turned out the teenager lived in the same neighborhood. He was charged with theft of personal property and placed on probabation for a year. I'm glad that they didn't decide to take the little girl because this would have turned very ugly. I hope they find the thief and bring the puppy back home to the family. |
WOW! I'm so glad the little girl is safe. I hope it doesn't affect her to badly. I know it would take my daughter a long time to get over. She's so shy as it is. It's sooo sad that people would do something like that. It was quick thinking of them to get the plate number. I hope they're able to get their puppy back soon. |
do you know if there are any updates yet? |
Omg,, that poor little girl, i cant even imagine how scared she was and still is. thank god she is ok, I hope they catch these jerks and they get there dog back to this little girl unharmed:( |
Unreal! What is going on? Dog-nappers.. Yorkie-nappers.. makes me  GET A REAL JOB.. get your own dog..make your own income! |
That is so frightening. That poor child must be hysterical with worry and fear. I don't understand something. If they have the licence plate # why do they not have the dog and why are those kids not in jail? |

That is awfull, I mean who does that to a 7 year old?? and that poor puppy:( :( Most people dont realize how fragil some Yorkies can be:(  I hope the police catch this nasty person:mad: |
Well maybe the car was stolen too, or they just have not located it yet. It\'s absolutely unbelievable what people will do. It\'s such a horrible thing that we have to keep our kids and pets locked inside for fear of someone stealing them. I hope, when they catch then, they charge them with assulting the child too. |
I know it sounds bad, but I\'m guessing their mistake was not mentioning that the little girl\'s arm was "hurt" during the episode -- I\'m convinced THEN the cops would have responded faster, making it an assault against a child. Law enforcement is slowly getting up to speed that animals are important. Hopefully, this kid won\'t graduate from puppy kidnapping to child kidnapping the way it is with animal abusers turning into child abusers. I hope this little girl gets her puppy back safe and sound. |
Thank God the little girl is ok. I just hope they find the puppy and that it is unharmed. |
That poor child. It is so traumatic for her and she\'ll always remember that and who knows how it will effect how she deals with situations from now on. I\'m convinced that these dognappers aren\'t stealing the puppies because they want a pet - they want fast cash for a purebred dog. Dog lovers would never do something like this!! |
That poor little girl :( I hope they find the puppy and he\'s O.K . Please keep us updated! |
I agree, thank GOD that little girl is safe! I hope that kid gets his in the end. Only reason I can think of as to why they havent caught them yet, is if that car was already stolen. |
It is unreal what people will do! They do not care about the heart break they cause to the pet and owners. |
No updayes as of yet:mad: |
you\'d think these type of scenario only happens on movies . . my goodness, what has our world come to . . .:( |
Its so sad something like that can, and does happen. I thought I was doing my babies a favor, by purchasing one of those, see through all over glass storm doors. Well, dogs love it for sure, but I\'m afraid to keep my front door open, as I know folks can see them too! Its so sad people do this, and we have to stay on constant fear that someone will steal our dogs. I\'m glad the little girl was unharmed physically. Now emotionally, will be another story. So sad! |
Oh how sad. Things like that just sicken me. |
