Please help me choose a name for my new yorkie!! Hi! I will be getting my yorkie in 2 weeks. Up to now, i still haven't decided on a name for him. Help!!!!! I plan to use a unisex name since I have plans of putting ribbons on my baby yorkie in the future. Thank you! |
I had the same problem with naming my new Yorkie. THere wasn't a name that seemed to fit. I was in love with the name Theodore, but no one else in the family liked it, and my mom wanted to name him Junior so we named him TJ! We call him T, Teej, Mr. T, etc. Is there any special meaning you want the name to have? Maybe big, strong or brave? Or handsome? Brazil Unisex Irish brave, strong in conflict Charlie Unisex German Form of CHARLES, strong Casey Unisex Celtic brave Tracey Unisex Greek Brave Riley Unisex Irish valiant Kyle Unisex Celtic handsome, near the chapel If you let me know of some meanings that you want the name to mean, I will look some unisex names up for you. |
I like Bailey or Jordan. Check out my siggy. |
any other choices? |
well i don't know very many that are unisex but i know a lot of boys names....is that ok? if its yes then i'll put them on!!!! :) congrats on the baby |

Bailey and Casey both are great names. Whatever you pick, I'm sure it will fit your baby just fine. Just try not to pick a name that rhymes with "O", (example, Rocoe, Mojo, etc.) If confuses them when you are saying "NO". |
Ok I have several names. I really like unisex names so here is my list. Hope this helps. Dilly Dusty Izzy Ziggy River Raven Jamie Kelly Jojo Kasper/Casper Kipper Lucky Mikkah Sonny/Sunny Cody Puddles Sorry my list is so long. Rhonda |

Sometimes it helps to find a name after you get the pup, I mean, fit the name to his personality (jumper, sparky, thumper etc... or his appearance ( shorty, fluffy)I name all my dogs and horses after I get them, some horses had greek gods names, ie Adonis and Vega, Apollo (now they are after soccer players Zidan and Figo) but the dogs names are given after I get to know them. |
I like Lakin or Laken. Of course, you could always name him No-No! Then he'd learn it very fast! :D |
I like Peanut or Reese(s) as well. |
toto is a boyz and girlz name |
I really think you should wait till you get the puppy. Lots of names sound cute, but you won't know if they fit the puppy until you see him and his personality. Ya know? Like I said before, I had the same problem. Good luck! |
How about Charlie? |
Thanks a lot ! Everyone is really nice. Will try to choose then. |
I like the name Izzy- It could go either way!!! My last name is Iezzi which is pronounced Izzy!!!! You could spell it Izzi for a boy Or even put the "e" in it and be Iezzi or Izzy for a gal!!! Everyone calls my hubby Izzi and never by his 1st name. ;) ;) |
Here are a few names I found :D : Addison Alexis (Protector of Mankind) Alta (Tall and lofty) Amiri (Prince) Andren Arden (Thrilled and excited) Aubrey (Noble, bright) Bo (Strong and fast) Brayden (Brave) Cameron, Camryn Cassidy (Clever) Chay Corby (Dark as a raven) Dakota Darby Drew Emsley (Gift from above) Hagen (Little, young) Jordan Karman (Lord of the castle) Keeran (Little dark one) Lee Morgan Porsche (Offering) Randy Sam Shae (A gift) Tayten (Beautiful happiness) |
I think you should name him Bond...James Bond. He's an English dog, very smart and handsome... he's James Bond the Yorkie! |

I think "Winston" would be neat, but since you are looking for a biname, I would say "Sammy"! Or maybe even "JoeJoe" Let us know what you end up with! |
My little male has a very masculine name.... He is a luh-vaaah so we named him Rudolph Valentino, but we call him Tino and he wears bows! |

Oh Oh Oh, I have it........... Mercedes .... You know, "top of the line"! I think it is perfect for a girl or a boy! |
Julz that is cute! Please let us know what you decided upon????? |
Oh I really like Tayten and/or Shae. I used to be head over heel for a guy named Shae (same spelling) he was really really hot and I have loved that name for a boy ever since. Do you have a favorite movie or candy or even restaurant name that you could play with? We named our pup after a friend who passed away, so it really means a lot to us. I am sure whatever you do end up using you will LOVE no matter what anyone else thinks. Let us know when you figure it out! |
