Well I live in NYC so there's tons here but not in my neighborhood. I saw one just yesterday that was about 11 lbs but the owner said he was a silky terrier..it looked just like a Yorkie though i swear! |
There are 2 that live right next door to me but they don't like to play...they are very stand-off-ish and they don't go outside a lot. They just stay in the house and bark a lot. I was worried that Teddi would learn to bark from them but she hasn't (Thank God). I think she has realized that we don't bark in our house because my Standard Poodle doesn't bark. The few times she barked I would say "Oh we don't bark here" and now she doesn't bark...except for the occasional "I'm sitting down here and you are ignoring me" bark when I am on the computer. |
I was so happy to see a little yorkie next door to my MIL. Well, we sat outside playing Scrabble and that little unneutered guy kept trying to have at it with Maxwell. It got to be impossible to get him to stop. My 84 year old MIL started calling him Herv the Perv. So much for playtime. |
:) nope i have the only 4 on the block, lol I live on a dead end street, when i visit my daughter her neighbor has a little guy, but the owner dont seen to friendly so i have never went over to meet them:rolleyes: |
You never saw as many yorkies as live in a 2 square block area of my neighborhood.........I'd say at a minimum of 15........Brandi plays with 3 Oliver, Scruffy, Caitlin, there was also this little boy yorkie named Furby that used to live here.....but he was a hornball LOL he got Brandi's harness off in one little nibble one day LOL......one woman walks 4 yorkies......another has 2......some of the owners aren't all that friendly....... |
Many Yorkies around here. Every other house in PR has a dog. I tried to befriend the yorkie owners... Ryoko really takes to his own kind well. This one yorkie owner seems really jealous. He shaved his babies hair off, but the funny thing about it (well not funny at all) is that he cut the baby up on his are and somewhere else, big time. It was so much that the guy even told me he had a 300 dollar vet ... Then he started up, whenever i walked by his home telling me "{ its too hot, you need to cut your yorkies hair). I told him Ryo was fine and that my place is so cool and we have fans going so there is no problem about the heat... still i hear, "You need to cut hair, he get too hot." (imagine that with a heavy Spanish accent lol) Ryoko gets soo many compliments on his hair as is.. I am sure some of you all get compliments too and know what i am talking about, so to hear this guy trying to make sure my baby doesn't look better than his is funny. Ryo was almost 11 lbs when i got him cause he was a lil porker... He is now like 7 1/2 - 8 lbs which i am fine with, Yet this same guy was like "Your dog too fat, He need lose weight, He so fat" I finally looked at the guy and said u know what I see ur fat and i am as well and i don't see anyone putting u on a diet do i? MY son was soo proud of me because he was so tired of this guy always judging Ryoko in a negative way. There are a mother and a daughter who Ryo loves to play with. I feel so bad after we visit them and have to leave. I have decided to get another Yorkie when i can afford it for Ryoko. So to answer yes there are a total of 5 yorkies who are a nice walking distance from my home and 1999 chihuahua's:D |
I don'y see many Yorkies in the neighborhood, but in stores and out I do a lot. I have 3 so I really don't look for them for friends like some. When I take the girls into the nursing home, I hear a lot of stories from our older generation about the Yorkies they had back when. |
I know of one and her name is Peyton. She is a cutie. She's really friendly too. |
There is another Yorkie just a few houses down in my townhouse complex. Unfortunately, we never seem to be out at the same time. One of these days our babies will meet up I am sure! |
There is a Yorkie upstairs in the complex we just moved into. He's super cute, and his owner has been friendly. I'm hoping we see more of him. |
we have an older man in our subdivision that has an older male yorkie. i dont see them very often but once in a while they go for walks. i would love to introduce maggie to them but i haven't seen them in quite a while. i do love seeing other yorkies tho :) |
It's funny, I used to see a ton of them before getting Vickie. Always by the local shopping center and our old neighbor (we recently moved) had one but I think she was sold as I never saw her in my last months of living on that street. The only time I saw a yorkie near my home while having Vickie was about a month ago when one got loose and someone found her. Claiming we should take her ebcause we have a Yorkie. Um, no. Where I live now, I see a lot of maltese, shih tzu, and chihuahua, but no yorkies unless at my vet who is 2 cities over. |
There aren't many in my neighborhood. But there's 3 or 4 others in my town. :) I saw one I had never met before today at the parade. She was precious! :) |
I think we have about 3-4 yorkies in my neighborhood and they're all very friendly. My neighbor (5 houses down) always come to my door and invite us (Buttercup and I) to go walk with her and her yorkie, Layla. Once my new house is built, old house sold, I won't be having any neighbors so no more yorkie neighbors. It's a new subdivision and my house would be the first one built. |
we have so that i have seen a women that walks everyday with her yorkie he is about as big as skoshi but she just walks and they both try to meet and play but she just keeps on going. she is really rude. oh well. and there is this german lady that has 2 of them. a male and female but everytime she passes im inside and when i try to wait outside to see she doesnt walk that day lol. my mom has seen them and stopped her and she loves skoshi. and my mom said she is very sweet and that her dogs are soo cute. she says one of hers has a smushed in face tho lol. i said yes some come like that mom i love it! also there is skoshis girlfriend named gracie that i have posted pics of and she lives on the same street. but he doesnt see her that much. hes so much bigger than her lol and last time he seen her all he did was try to hump her and i think she was scared lol i told skoshi acting too desperate will scare off the girls, but he doesnt listen |
