I really agree with everyone here who's saying you should wait. A puppy really shouldn't be taken away at such a young age. 12 weeks sounds like a lot, but really it isn't. It is a lot safer and will help your baby's chances of being more healthy if you wait. For the sake of the puppy and yourself, I really suggest you wait. |

Thanks everyone for your help..................I got sophie today at the age of 7 weeks everything is working fine. It wasnt worth it to leave it at the seller because the seller took away the other puppies to a pet shop. |

Congrats on your new puppy! Looking forward to seeing pictures. Just a little adivise.. If you are wanting a yorkie or any other breed in the future it is good to do lots of research on that breed as well as the Breeder that you are getting from. There are alot of things that can throw up red flags. You said two. 1) she would sale them so YOUNG :( 2) she sold the rest to a Pet shop :( Here on Yorkie talk is some awesome respectable breeders and they can as well help you know what to look for if you want to buy one in your area. Congrats again on your new Lil Fur Baby :p :aimeeyork :p |
Good Luck with your puppy, although she really is too young :( It sounds like you did get her from a puppy mill which would also be why the breeder was willing to let her go so early. You have a lot of work ahead of you to help keep your puppy healthy this young. You are basically going to have to take place of her mother for a while. Here are some things you need to do. * You need to feed her every few hours and make sure that she eats. The best way to avoid hypoglycemia is to make sure she eats well and eats often. If she isn't eating well, which is very likely, then come back on here and we can help you out. I cannot stress how important it is that she eats. If you don't know about hypoglycemia then you need to research it because you can lose your puppy to it quickly.I know that the others on here can think of a few more things to help you out. |
i got apollo at 8 weeks, he was fine, now i know apollo is diff. from how every yorkie will react, i wouldnt dare get a yorkie at 6 weeks old, also how old are you? and if you still decide to get the yorkie at a young age, i wouldnt recommend getting him if hes gonna be in a stressfull enviornment, for example is you have kids, that can be really stressfull for the yorkie sorry fifnt read the 2nd pg, but you should still look over what i had to say, about stressful enviornments |
Congrats on your puppy but please be careful and watch for anything troubling that might happen with a baby that tiny. Congratulations again! |
