update Patti- Thank you for letting us all know how Papi is getting along and his feelings at this point. I loved to hear you talk "in his words" from the phone conversation. I am sending prayers his way each day and am optimistic for his surgery and recovery. Patticake is a great motivation or incentive for him to go through the surgery well and recovery quickly so that he can again share Patticake/Papi moments with us all. God Bless ALL OF YOU for praying for Papi. (((((((hugs))))))) Deucy & Brenda |
Patti, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, I wish I was able to help Papi through this...I just know, in my heart that he will be fine. I have known many people that have gone through this very same procedure, they truly are able to do miraculous things now days. He has the best in medicine with Patticake by his side...and Kassie Kisses to watch over him and his doctors. I absolutely loved that you were able to quote his actual words...it was almost as if he were here again...I miss you Papi...Rest...Get your strength back...And most of all Get Well!!! Love and Hugs , Kathy |
Sharing a song with you Papi and others, I play this everyday, sometimes more. Jack and I feel it to be so uplifting. Hope you will also. Sometimes the going gets tough and life can be so difficult, we are so thankful to know that through it all God knows our needs and HE hears our prayers and HE never leaves us, I have witnessed this many times over and through all those difficult times have drawn so much closer to God. Yes, I have to give thanks for even those times, it is through them that has helped me to grow spiritually. Prayers for all those that are going through a difficult time what ever it be. Thanks for listening to the song below called " Walking Beside You. " Love and hugs, your friends, Patti and Jack http://heavens-gates.com/gospel/gosp..._waltmills.wav |

Just a quick note to Papi: Hope all is well, are you getting enough rest? Able to keep the blood pressure down? Just snuggle up with Patticake, let her be your guide. Keep smiling, your chin up and your spirits high. Sending lots of hugs, thoughts and prayers your way...and Winston says "HI"!!! |
I've been away a couple of days and just wanted to check in here for news about Papi. Patti, thank you so much for the update. I hope you and Jack have been well. I too believe that Patticake came into his life at this particular time for a purpose. He needed this little baby to give him a purpose, to comfort him when he is apprehensive, to sooth him when he is alone. Please know Papi, I love you and wish for you a most speedy recovery. You will see, once it is all over, you will feel rejuvenated, like a Spring Chicken, and you will be chasing your Patticake once again in that huge field near your house. I pray for you with much love, Lauren |
Papi and PattiCake Just checking in to say Hello to Papi and PattiCake. Papi: I hope that you are doing well. I want you to know that I think about you and Patticake everyday. I am continuing to pray that you will feel better soon and be back to updating us on your daily life with your little one. Love, j:) |
I had a few minutes this morning and wanted to quickly post a message to Papi. I think of you constantly dear man. I pray for your recovery, and I know in my heart that you will come through this and feel so much stronger physically. Keep your Patticake close to you Papi. Like I said before, Yorkie kisses are just the best medicine, better than any Chicken Soup.:p I leave on my trip in a week and want only to know that you are safe and healthy before my departure. It would give me much peace of mind. With so much love, Lauren:big_hug::big_hug::big_hug: |

We all miss you Papi, hope you're feeling well...and that everything is looking up for you. A quick little story about my boy Winston. We were outside in the back yard today...me doing a little yard work...Winston doing some scavenging. I tell you he is able to discover the tiniest little thing out of place in the entire backyard, I am constantly picking up little pieces of paper and stuff that manages to blow into our fenced in yard. When I got finished with what I was doing, I called for him to "hurry up, come on I'm going in the house" he comes running as fast as his little legs will carry him...stops at the door, I looked down at him and he looked up at me, well on the very tip of his tiny black nose was a little bitty bird feather. I picked it off of his nose...but thought "where's my camera when I need it"??? How in the world did he manage to find that itty bitty thing in our entire backyard??? It was really so cute...no signs of any birds around, so I know he didn't eat a bird...but how cute is that??? Reminds me of the picture of the cat with bird feathers...asking "What Bird"??? |
I too am checking in to let Papi know that he is on my mind as well. Knowing that Patticake is there with him curled up beside him makes me happy. I am confident that Patticake KNOWS when Papi does not feel well or is worryiing, or is just not his usual self and she will comfort him in that special way that our furbabies do. Deucy ALWAYS knows when I am not up to par...instinctively...he will put his little paws up on my chest and begin licking me....and I mean LICKING me over and over and over ........he just does not stop. I too have a little story to share. I live about 30 minutes from a town and 45 minutes from a town with a Walmart, so about once a week I'll go to Walmart to get supplies. I ALWAYS try to buy Deucy a new toy (although he has so many now I have two toy boxes for them) It is the look on his face when I tell him (after all the kisses he gives from me being gone) that "mommy got you a new toy!!". OH MY GOSH...........He can hardly wait to see what it is and grab it and run away into another room with it. I put the Walmart sacks down on the floor and as a habit I always pull items out and tell him what they are...he gives them a sniff, then I put them away. I teach him what things are and what words go with what things. He just can't wait to see the toy though, so he puts his little nose into the bags to try and find it. It is SO FUNNY. If he finds it, he grabs it and runs and I don't want him to take off with it until I cut the tags off of it. So, I cut the tags off while he is sitting there eyeballing everything I do with it. As I'm bending down to give him the toy and tell him the NAME of it.........he grabs it and RUNS as fast as his little legs can go and hides under the coffee table to play with it. He will shake it like it is something he has killed and drag it around the house...PROTECTS it ....if I get close to it, he'll grab it and RUN OFF into another room. Then, after about 20 miinutes of hard play, I look down at him (from the computer) and he is fast asleep with his paws and head on that little toy....then the snoring comes. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!
