"I took him for a quick drive, just because he was so cute." :yelrotflm That is way too funny! You have gone above and beyond being a good mom!! :D |
I must admit, though - that mornings are a race.... We come down the stairs, I'm carrying the youngest - I have to get all 4 out before they potty in the house. They've waited all night and it is a RACE! I put Myla down on the front step and she won't leave the step till we all come out. :) If I decide to do the harnesses in the morning, someone WILL pee before we can get out the door. Ah, remember those mornings of waking up and sitting calmly with a nice cup of coffee????? |

I love that Otis was in the car. I would have taken him for a ride too, sitting there like that. |
hahahaha I LOVE your stories about the monkeys. Its histerical to read but i'm sure it gets alittle annoying at times for you. when its time for me and morgan to go out she runs to her carrier, hops in, turns around and then looks at me like "hurry up lets go!!!" So thank god i don't have to chase her around. |
My one year old yorkie has started to eat when we plan to go out! Do you think its a natural instinct as they dont know when out, if they will get food? I thnk it is very cute anyway. I took my yorkie to training classes as I needed him to come on command as dont have time in the morning to faf about, he now appears to know the difference between play chasing and when I need him to come quickly to me. They are fast little learners and love the praise, attention and treats they get during training. |

Yesterday we walked them later than usual and after scarfing down some food they got too warm and got sick in daddys car. I will stick to my usual schedule of walking EARLY before it is too hot and humid and maybe picking up the food bowl in the morning before our walks. I never had this prob until yesterday when we were waiting for daddy to get out of bed to go for a walk w/us. Bad daddy. LOL |

How true... This thread is too funny--because it is the same for us and our two furbabies. We have to have the harnesses on, because we don't have a fenced in area. It is a *nightmare* to get both outfitted and ready to roll. I have tried to take one and then the other, but whoever stays in poops and pees on the floor. In the morning, we have to be SUPER quick to get them both out before they go. Coffee in the morning, leisure time, quiet time...what's that? At our house, it is called yorkietime!!!!! (and we are loving it) As for as the car ride goes, everyday when hubby gets home, he walks in the door and takes the little ones on a *roadtrip*...they expect it. He just drives them through the pasture. Emmy stands on her hind legs and looks out the window. Hubby has to hold Oscar (he can't see otherwise). They bark their fool heads off and then look at hubby! Anyway--They hear him when he drives up after work and run and sit by the door. Their little tails about wag off waiting!:D |
When I open my bedroom door each morning Lucy and Rebel start jumping up and down in their crate. I swear, Rebel jumps so high his head hits the top! When I open the back door they both take off, but Rebel stops at the bottom and waits for Lucy. He's barking like a maniac and when she finally decides to come down the stairs he grabs her by her "beard". I now have to let her out first, then pick him up and hold him until she's down the stairs. If I do it this way he leaves her alone. (He's 4.5 lbs and she' 11) You'd think she's go bonkers on him treating her that way, but she doesn't. |
LOL, these posts make me feel better:D . Ginger (who can be a raving lunatic at times) is so calm and poised when its time to groom, put on her harness, etc...that when we got Bernie, who's very laid back most of the time, I was surprised by the change in attitude when I grab the harness. He races around banging the door and doing EVERYTHING but letting me put his harness on :D |
I go get Daisy BEFORE I pick up the harness now. It is much easier. lol |
