Dry dog food is the best for them. Don't be in a rush to change your puppy's food. If he is playing and eating and drinking and pooping and peeing and his eyes are bright and shining, there is a fantastic chance that he is completely healthy. Their appetite does slow down. Their bellies are extremely small. Your pup will not starve ittself to death unless there is something wrong. Like Mamma always says, "If it aint broke, don't fix it". LOL I have done so much research....at first I tended to STARE at Tiah and wait for something to go wrong!!! Is she breathing to fast, too slow, is her heartbeat regular or did I hear a skip, is she eating too much or too little, is her nose too warm, too wet or too dry....oh dear, the list went on and on. |
I have the same issue Tiny is now almost 6 months and his appetie has decreased because alot of his teeth has fallen out...hopefully he wont get low blood sugar. good luck with your baby = ) |
thanks all for the support il stop all human food and just give her dry. as i live in england any ideas what dried food will be best for my baby?i only want the best for rosie. wish i could leave it out all day but the cats eat any food she leaves so i have to pick it up when she stops eating, which maybe if i could would help with her eating. im so glad i found this site its so friendly and people dont mind answering any questions that may seem silly to them, this is my 1st time having a dog and i now wonder why i didnt do it earlier she is my baby and goes everywere with me, how did i get on before. love wendy and rosie :aimeeyork |
You'll probably know if he gets low blood sugar, he would become very lax, too lax...the kind of thing you pray will happen one day (in a healthy fashion because they are so darned energetic!), but don't expect your puppy to calm down before 1 year and probably not before 2 years. |
