I find it interesting that they are still evaluating him, which means he could not have been in that shelter for very long. Does Zeke have a microchip that is universally read by ALL scanners? The age is about the same as Zeke as well. Look at the dark coloring behind his head - also similar to Zeke, as is the profile, shape and size of the eyes, facial bone structure in the profile.

Well hello everybody and welcome back...you've been missed.
Lauren how do you contact them about that Yorkie on Petfinder.
Did they neuter and microchip him...or was he already done? Is Maureen on tonight? We need to contact them ASAP...
It sure looks alot like Zeke...and in some of Zekes pictures he does look a little redder...and yes the lighting can make a big difference. Keep up the good work y'all!!!

How does everyone feel about giving Babi 1542, all the calls that come in Spanish, Maureen if it is o.k. with Babi, when you get a Spanish call, refer them to Babi, and she can get back to you as to what has been said.

You two have to get together and see how you can work this out.

This is great that Babi1542 can do this...I took 4 years of Spanish in high school, but I'm a little dusty...it's been so long ago, I could possibly read it...but speak it, I don't think so.
Are there any Hispanic publications that an ad could be placed? If they don't know English they probably aren't reading the local newspapers. How about posting flyers in places they may frequent, Hispanic markets, restaurants or stores? I'm going to just keep on praying that the one right person will see the flyer and respond. Hoping...praying...wishing...please...begging!!!

I swear you are a mind reader - see your PM - I sent it before reading your post above..... Here is a quote of an idea I had:
"It's a very good idea to have posted some flyers written in Spanish. The problem however, would be if Maureen got a response and they could not communicate because of the language barrier. I think Maureen needs a volunteer from YT - babi1542 - I think would be perfect. If Maureen gets such a call, perhaps she could have babi1542's cell number............ What would be excellent is if they could do a THREE WAY CALL - because only Maureen would know what questions to ask and babi1542 could translate those, plus any responses. Actually, the more I think about it, the more convinced I am that only a three-way call would work, if such a situation arose."

Hey Lori - do you know yet what Maureen thinks of the post from this dog's link?? The shelter have named him Pogo. I found him on another page as well, that is connected to pertfinder:

His is the last listing under the title "Southern California". If you look at the other Yorkies on this page, there is not one other that looks SO much like Zeke.

I think that she saw and said it was a good possiblity hair is dark but could be the lighting.
I hope they get back to me soon.

Maureen, did you look at the side by side above (Post # 1278) - the dog I found on Petfinder? He looks so much like Zeke.

I dont think he does but I know lighting could have something to do with it because Zeke has no red in him... His head is completely platinum. It does not hurt to ask though. On that same site (it is not Zeke) but the boy named Joey looks more like Zeke. Tell me what you think.
