Zeke Checking for news on Zeke. Donna Jean, I am so glad that you called Modesto PD and at least made a point that the officer is not returning Maureen's phone calls. I don't understand them not giving his work schedule out, makes no sense. We give that out on a daily basis. Of course I don't understand him not returning her calls either unless he is on days off or on vacation. I thought she was told when she called earlier in the week that he would be working on the weekend. I am praying that the officer working investigations will be more assertive and sympathetic to Maureen's search. I will continue to pray for Zeke's safe return. j:) |
If yall know someone with a kid you could make up a fake order form and let the kid act like they are going door to door selling cookies...well preordering for cookies...order now and pay when you receive the cookies...that way you dont steal their money and cause problems. Then maybe the kid might see the dog and say "oh how cute! can i pet it?" maybe even take a pic with camera phone(this would be great cause you would have picture proof)...something to ID the dog. Lol. I know it sounds crazy but its a way to get someone unknown to make an attempt to see the dog. Just show the kid a good picture to study closely and then if sees dog...ID it as Zeke! Im trying to think up anything and everything to legally and safely try to ID Zeke so we can get that out of the way! Shoot...what tigerr__ said earlier about have someone act like car broke down and need to use phone that cell phone outta service for some reason..if see Zeke...SNAP! with that camera phone! ;) Goodluck and prayers to everyone!! (esp Maureen and Zeke!) |
Good morning every one!!! I thought from the start we needed an investigator/detective either with the Modesto police department or on our own. I still believe this to be true. If Maureen had dozens of people helping her watching these houses, following these people to get an actual picture of the dog that may be Zeke...then we would most definitely have the proof for the police to ask for a search warrant...and the judge to issue one. BUT, Maureen does not have that kind of help, these places/people need to be watched 24/7, nobody but a detective of some kind can offer that. The police department should have offered her a detective from the department...which would not cost her anything...but they have not, so we need to hire our own!!! THIS IS WHY WE NEED GIFTS FOR ZEKE!!! Again Maureen can not do this alone, she needs our help. I will pray now... |
I must have missed something....how do we know that it is zeke that is in the house?? One sentence is enough lol I know we are all trying to think of a way to get him out but I would not want to put a child in that situation. |

I've just been catching up on the posts since yesterday and I see lots of suggestions, and frustration. Unfortunately, the bottom line is we have to stay inside the limits of the law, no matter how desperate we are to bring Zeke home. Maureen, hope you are feeling better today today Hon. And don't ever worry about Zeke forgetting you. When I left South Africa, I had an adorable Matlese name Tasha. I went back once a year to visit my family, and each time when I walked through the front door after arriving, Tasha would go totally beserk. Twelve months would have passed, and this little dog never forgot me. During one time period, I was unable to visit for over 2 years, and still that little girl remembered me. She was only 7 years old when I immigrated, and lived for 18 years (would you believe it!) That dog never ever failed to remember me, would follow me around like a little white shadow, every day that I spent there. So don't ever concern yourself about your Zeke forgetting you.:aimeeyork Hugs to you all for the day, Lauren |
ok sorry cause i dont know where this story is right now. Zeke is missing right? and you know where he is? Can someone give me a quick run down? |
Jeannie - you go girl!!!! I can just hear you on the phone with the Modesto PD reaming them out for their total lack of action and lighting a firecracker under their collective butts from all those miles away.:thumbup::thumbup: I send for you healthy and happy puppy thoughts for the new precious baby that is on the way. Let us know how Mama and Yorkie morsel are doing. Luv ya, Lauren:) I will be in and out again the whole day. Sheesh! don't these people realize they are taking up waaaaaay to much of my YorkieTalk Time!!! |

Lauren...How'd the wedding day go??? Jeannie...Any puppies yet??? Others...No we do not have a positive ID...only suspicions that there is A dog in that house...which may in turn be Zeke...or Tahoe as the boy claims. IDEA!!! If there is nobody around this house...can we sneak over the backyard wall/fence and check for dog poop??? Is this legal, or trespassing??? |

a week's worth of posts for the whole story. |
Thank You Judy, THAT IS WONDERFUL. You girls could work for Scotland Yard. |
I must have miised the post where Maureens friend spotted him too. REALLY? She /he knows it was Zeke? well then take the friend to the MPD to tell them she has a positive ID. Quote:

It is all speculation...Maureen has to positively ID this dog...as Zeke...before a search warrant can be issued and the judge signs it. A child id'd the picture of Zeke on the poster as "Tahoe", which his father says is the childs grandma's dog. The friend had spotted a dog at this address while dropping his kids off, that he states looked like Zeke. There is no proof yet!!! |

If anyone gets in the back yard, don't look for poops, break a window get, Zeke and get out!!!!!! You could get a poop, and Maureen could have a poop of his that has not been picked up yet, and the could do poop DNA, that has to be the poop, I mean proff they would need!!!!!!!! You can say your contact popped out of your eye and went over the fence, and you were searching for it. Or your bird flew into the yard and you are trying to catch it. I am sure their are a lot of reasons to be in that back yard. While back there, call for ZEKE and see what bedroom the bark comes from, take a look and a picture, the blinds are probably open, as their is no access to the back yard except through the two houses. That ought to be pretty hard to get into. I don't know this is killing me, not to be able to be their!!!!! Later, Ladies Jeannie |

i was so hoping that he would be found by now with so many people helping and i hope you find your baby soon Maureen!!!! |
Do these two homes where you think Zeke might be have privacy fences in the backyards? If so you may never get a picture of them walking Zeke. Also I was wondering if they don't have privacy fences....is there a way to watch the back of the houses. I would assume that they wouldn't parade Zeke out in front or walk down the street. The other thing is.....is that you can drive with a Yorkie in the car and unless you have a booster doggie seat you would never know that there was a dog in the car. This is a tough one for sure. I would be going crazy! ....but I think unless you can get a picture....the best bet is a PI or the police. I'm saying a prayers for you and for Zeke..... |
