I totally agree with you. I purchased a puppy from a Pet Shop in Gatlingburg TN who said that the puppies parents weighed 4 lbs a piece and that he would not get any bigger. He is now 3 years old and weighs 7-8 lbs. I love him anyway and he is part of the family. I know that you cannot always tell the size, but from now on I will only buy from someone who has both parents that I can view. He will definitely not breed with me 3.5 lb baby girl. So now I will be looking for him a new wife. :) :( | The pet store most likely never even saw the parents. I dont know how they could have told you the weight of the parents seeing as though pet stores buy from puppy mills. What a joke that they would deliberatley lie to you! These kids are taught to tell the customer anything they want to here just to make the sale. Before I knew about puppy mills, and I was looking for a dog, I went to quite a few petstores and most of the employees didnt even know what it ment when I asked if the dog was registerd. One time, they went to ask their boss and came back with the dogs file and said "Oh ya all our dogs are registerd!" So I said okay with who? and they said " With the top 10 registrys" TOP 10??? lol I didnt even know there was 10. I guess that might sound impressive to someone that dosnt know much about dogs. Whats the point of paying for pappers if its apr apri aca or any of those other no name ones. Dogs that arent even pure bred can be registerd with most of these other registrys! I would only buy an akc puppy (unless it was a rescue) Anyway I never bought from a petstore, I ended up doing tons of research to find a great breeder in my area and found the best little girl ever! |
