The Nerve of some people!!!!!!!!!!! I really need to get this out. As some of you might now I do yorkie rescue for Save A Yorkie Rescue. So I have been doing most of the phone interviews for prospective adopters. I get an applicant looks sane the way he answered all the questions on the application and I felt bad since he resently lost his little one. So I decided I am going to get this guys phone interview done asap. I called him up and set it up. AGAIN he seemed sane. So i called him I get through with the phone interview with this guy and I"m like he seems nice I was wondering about the home visit and so on. So while I was doing the phone interview he was talking about a specific dog that he wanted named Cody who just came into rescue. I specificly told him that even though you apply for a specific pup you might not end up with since we match them up with the best home and place for the pup he took it ok. We hung up I typed up the interview and then I get a phone call a couple hours later from the President of the rescue she wanted to know about the Foster I just took in and about the guy. Because he became crazy why???? Cody the pup he wanted wasn't going with him instead his foster mom decided he would best be with her and feel in love cody. And one of rules is if you foster and the foster that you have you fall in love with and you feel they would be best with you can keep them no questions asked which we told him from the beginning. So this psycho starts calling everyone at the rescue and telling us that we are theives, not a rescue, we stole his dog, and "watch what I'm going to do to you" (he said that to the foster mom). And calls us leaves horrible messages. so when I got the message I called him back and told him we did nothing wrong and you never had Cody and you didn't even meet him and only saw a picture of the little guy. And I told him I'm sorry but there are so many others that need to find good homes and he just got nasty and it ticked me off  since he is saying that I'm not doing any good instead we are hurting people and that we discriminate. So I told him NO we don't and that he wasn't even fully approved. So now we are left with a psycho calling me and everyone else numerous amounts of times and leaving messages that are hurtfull and untrue. I don't need to take this from him especially since I have so many other things to deal with such my new job :D (mortgage loan officer ---so if you need a loan let me know) , I got a new foster, doing phone interviews, and perparing for YORKIE DAY Well sorry for this being so long just need to let things out. I don't understand how people can be so harsh. |
" The more people I know the more I love my dog..." This world is full of psychos and I'm really sorry you have to experience that. I hope this guy leaves you alone and nothing more comes out of that! |
Do yourself a favor and tape the conversations, then file a police report. I had a home repair business for a couple of years and had one customer that wasy WAY out there. He left numerous messages on my cell phone. The police taped the messages and kept them on file in case the situation escalated. Unfortunately, you cannot be too safe. Best of luck to you. |

I would report him too. There are too many crazy people out there - who knows what he might try. |
   I'm so sorry this is happening. What a lunatic! Think of it this way. TG this happened and you all found out now what a nutjob this guy is, BEFORE he adopted one of your little ones. You all do an awesome job! |
You poor thing; what you are doing is wonderful. It's time consuming, as well as emotional working with a rescue. Don't let the things this guy says get to you -- he's the one with the problem Now that being said; I agree, call the police. Even if you don't have a recording, which sounds like you do from the messages -- the police can go a have a chat with this guy regarding harrassment. . . Truly protect yourself; get a paper trail showing what's going on in case it comes to you having to file some type of restraining order. Also, normally once the cops are involved they give the guy a warning, and it's over. Good luck, Sweetie. |

Yes, I agree to call the police just to let them know. THank Goodness you found out he was a nut job before you placed any pup with him. What you are doing with the Yorkie Rescue is very admirable and it sounds like you are doing a GREAT job! Don't let a "lunie" get under your skin. Try to do a call block with your phone (around here it's *66 on your phone and you follow the directions to block either a specific phone number or the last incoming number if it is unlisted, or both. There's a charge to do it per day, or you can call the phone company and get it as an additional service for about $3 a month. The caller gets a message like, "The number you are calling is not accepting calls at this time" and you never even have to know that they're calling.) Keep up the Good Work and Good Luck;) |
What a creep! You should definitely call the police! |

OMG that's horrible how he acted. :thumbdown I agree with everyone else, you should call the police. Today, you just never know what someone is going to do. :( What you and the other rescue volunteers do is very admirable and you all should be so... proud of yourselves. :) |
Thank you for all your support. It just upsets me when people say that we do nothing and are nothing and we are not helping. I revolve my life aroung the rescue and the pups that I have they are my life. Which is why I changed companies and how I started my new job to work from home and still be available for my clients whenever they needed me (mortgage loan officer), but it seems more and more that people don't really understand what a rescue is and what we are trying to accomplish here. And to be treated like garbage from this guy really ticks me off  and just makes me be more selective to who I give the ok to adopt. I have already told Marilyn (the president of the rescue) to call the police and contact the phone company to block this psycho's number and to also put out a "Do Not Adopt" to all the other rescues and shelters. Thanks again I wish more and more people were so understanding and know that what we are doing is for the dogs. |
