First of all I would certainly take Cody off the webpage, I just checked and he's up there big as life. It's only fueling the fire for that nut. Good heavens.......... remove your phone numbers. If someone sees a dog online, they can email you! Don't put yourself in a position to be harrassed by the crazies out there.

I know I'm only one person, but I tell everyone who will listen what a wonderful thing you all are doing. Bernie is just one of many shining examples of the incredible work you do. Poor little guy was left for dead...SAY saved him when no one else would. You all do an awesome job, so please, don't let one rotten egg bring you down.

What a sicko!! Please don't allow that idiot to interrupt your life! :( Report it to the police and let them handle it. They may ask you to keep a log of the calls. Try to ignore him and keep up your good work!! Maybe with Cody's info removed from your site, the sicko will move on to threatening someone else.

Sorry to say but you will run into more people like this. Just look at the people on YT who bash rescue organizations from time to time. They believe thier feelings and concerns should be number one and the rescue's needs and concerns should be number two. In rescue you will over time have to deal with these types of people who are strange but my advice would be make sure you keep very good records on these people (they will be back to try and get another dogs and share this information with other rescues in the city) as they will do this over and over again. They believe they are superior and they are entitled. Also, I would make sure to check with your animal control and Humane Society to see if they have been blocked at these organizations. Many times they have.

I would get caller ID block for your phone and try to do some of the interviewing via email. Their letters might give you insight into what type of people they are. Just remember a lot of people learn to give the right answers so be careful. This is why I believe home visits (2 people going) is so very important and follow-up.

Keep up the good work and realize you are the only person protecting these little ones from another bad living situation.

If I may make a suggestion. I don't know if this was written in the posts before but when you call to do the phone interview, push #67. That way they don't have your phone number to begin with.

Second, do not take matters into you own hands. Refer this back to the President for them to handle. Their attorney may need to write a letter but you really need to stay out of any legals issues with him,for the sake of the rescue. It can become ugly.

It's a good thing that you found out now what this guy was really made of.
