I'm losing my mind and I only have one Yorkie puppy! You should have your own reality TV show! It would be a hit! |
I know how you feel. I have the following: 2 adult yorkies 3 yorkie babies 1 bunny and 2 kids (ages 5 and 7) To make matters worse, I was supposed to have a house guest this weekend, but she wanted to bring her akita/lab mix and her beagle. My house is only 900 square feet lol. Granted, I have a large yard, but damn, can you imagine what a zoo my house would have been? |
Thank you so much for your kind words!! Yes, I know that I need to learn to say no to people but with family, it's kinda hard. They probably know that and that's why they take advantage. I did try to tell my mother-in-law "no" and she about pitched a fit. She's such a biddy anyway!! |

The house guest I was supposed to have IS family lol. I try to accomodate but lets be practical. My house isn't all that big. Not to mention the fact that I have 3, 34 day old pups. How would these big dogs treat the babies? Prince (my oldest yorkie) is a maniac...so hyper. How would he get along with a dog a million times his size? It just wasn't worth the stress or hassle. |

I know is hard to say "NO" and more to family. I have a cousin that had a habit to let her kids every friday overnite so she and her hubby can go out. I didnt mind once in a while but it got the point we felt use. She was doing it every single friday for months and she never thank us or even offer to pay babysitting fees. To avoid problems I never make an issued of it, but it did bother me and I felt I was loosing my mind. We are a family of four and 1 yorkie living in a one bedroom apt in NYC. Imaging having her 3 kids over every weekend and worst of all fighthing with each other. I prefer 3 Yorkies anytime. |
Well, Lacee came over this morning. While her mother was here, I told her 3 times to not mess with the puppies and leave them alone. Even her mother told her, "Lacee, you need to stay out of the kitchen." After mom left for work, I pulled Lacee aside and told her face to face, "You WILL NOT mess with the puppies, you WILL NOT even pet them. If I catch you again, you WILL be going to time out." I put the gate up in the kitchen and she's watching Buz Lightyear! SO, SO FAR, SO GOOD. :p |
Glad to hear you are still up and about. And, I read that message about coming to my house. Hey, c'mon down. I did 5 doggy baths yesterday so at least they smell better. So, you will be able to make a path thru the clutter and we will head out to the back deck, toss back some cold brewskies and pizzas. As my kids used to say (I am a WV gal) "Just set, and chew t'bakki, spit n cuss".. It is the t'bakki that keeps people away but you have to have good aim..LOL Seriously, I am glad you jacked that little brat up. Sounds like she is a product of an over-indulgent mom so you just set and enforce the rules at your house OR mom can find another sitter.. Mercy me, that sounded cold-hearted but it works for me.. |
i do hope that hubby is bringing in the grub for ya. how in the world do you get the cooking done? and do you walk the pets one at a time or altogether? hey, whispersmom2, i am an old wva girl too. raised there any way. Mason county. Grad from Wahama High School. |
[ hey, whispersmom2, i am an old wva girl too. raised there any way. Mason county. Grad from Wahama High School.[/QUOTE] I was born and raised in the so. west part of poverty-ville..LOL I just went back last Sept for my 50th reunion from East Bank High School....it is still the same only 50 years older. Beautiful scenery! Beautiful place to visit but I couldn't stand to live there!! My family is still there.. |
First of all, you've made my day...everyday  ! I have 6 kids ages 17. 15, 13, 11, 6 and 3. I have a yorkie (Chloe) who had 6 pups last week. I have a 5 months old german shepherd puppy that loves to open the front door and knock over the kitchen garbage can. I have a whippet that drags every sock, shoe, branch, you name it from all over the neighborhood and deposit it on the front porch. I have 3 quarter horses, and a partridge in a pear tree...Try my shoes on for a change...BUT having said all that, this is my MESS, I made it and chose it. you must learn to say no! and if the malt and chihuahua don't want to sit in the closet, then you sit in the closet with a nice, chilled glass of white wine. It does wonders for me. |
haha! You guys are the greatest! Actually, my husband and my son went on vacation with the in-laws. I couldn't go this year because I didn't trust anyone that would take care of my babies the way I do. I also didn't go because the cabin that they got only has fans and no air conditioning...plus, critters could get in and bite my babies AND the cabins don't lock so someone could've gotten in and stolen my babies! But I will tell you this, I WILL NOT pet sit for anyone again. It's just too much work!!!! |
This is just too, much. Bless your heart - Hey - when the pups are of age and on to their new homes - farm everybody (including hubby and kids) out to the others for a few days and YOU go on vacation! Payback is he__ - but so much fun. Here is the strangest stress reliever I ever heard _ a shirink told us at a seminar - and it WORKS - Put one fresh egg in each hand - over the sink - and squeeze slowwwwwly - you get to utterly DESTROY something yourself!! HA HA sabrinasmom |

Hell! That's a lot of dogs! When we went on holiday, we left our baby with our friends. They look after everyone's pets, and for two weeks, in the house, they had two Yorkies, an German Shepherd, and Labrador, two parrots, and a tank full fish! Good luck to you, though! |

DAY 45 in the Big Brother house, and the Yorkies have shredded the new net curtains, peed on the clean laundry, and left a *present* in an unsuspecting persons sneaker... |
