Tyke likes to hide underneath an endtable but we don't like him to do that in some instances....the one time there was a storm and a tornado spotted less than 3 miles from here and we had to get to the basement and I was the one upstairs as the sirens were going off trying to get him out to come downtairs. If it's a little storm, fine, but if it's an all out storm and warnings are posted, we like him to be somewhere where we can get to him when an emergency rises. We never made a big deal out of the storms...the first storm we had he was all worked up...Bubba could care less, and in fact barks sometimes at the thunder as if telling the thunder to get out of his backyard :p I don't know if dogs can tell a difference in the air pressure or what but sometimes Tyke will even get worked up before a storm is even here.
Glad to know my doggie isn't the only one with an intense fear of storms :) |
