I'd have to agree - my two fit that description exactly! I've always preferred female dogs but when it comes to Yorkies I find the males more loving and easier to train:) |
Whn I saw the title of this thread I thought you were going to ask between a cat and a dog. lol That's because I think both boy and girl are great, and different in ways but it depends on what kind of person you are and what kind of dog you want. It's hard to explain. Anyway I have both, my boy is more out there, crazy but he is the more playful one, follows me everywhere and is so lovable. He doesn't like to be picked up much though cuz he's very active and likes to be running everywhere. My girl is more calm and chill and likes to just sit and look cute. She can be feisty sometimes and just whine to be picked up and fights with my boy if he gets too crazy. But she loves to be on your lap, sleep with you and she loves to cuddle and be pet. So they're both good in diff. ways. |
i have two males and five firls. I only have one girl that is sweet, girly girly and loves to cuddle. both my males are the lovingist little things ever. ceeby is actually jealous if anyone else gets my attention when he wants it. Every time i have one of the others in my lap, here he comes and I have to make room. Even when he was my only yorkie, he was the sweetest little thing you ever saw. the fact that he is a stud now hasn't changed that at all. if i could only have one yorkie, I would take aboy over a girl any day. |
I have always had boy dogs (pugs not yorkies) and I swore I would never own a female. My yorkie is a female and I don't know why I ever said that. She is so loving and loyal. I also find people say that female dogs are usually cleaner then male dogs. No marking their territory in your home either!:animal36 Good luck w/whatever you decide! |
I've always wanted a girl but I wouldn't really know which is better. In my opinion..either would be fine. |
I have always had female dogs in my life. Same goes with my parents, grandparents and great grand parents. We have always had only female dogs. Male dogs were said to be aggressive, territorial, always marking and humping everything, just bad news. But then I got Scampers. He is the most sweetest little cuddle bug ever!! No marking or aggression or any of those traits that kept us from ever wanting a male dog!! And now I have Brownie who is a major momma's boy!! We have 6 females and two males. I love them all dearly but the boy are way more affectionate and cuddly then the girls. The girls are more fiesty and independent and not much into cuddling. So now, I just love the male yorkies, they truly are little love bugs and I actually now prefer the males over the females!! What a turn around!! |
Well I have to say the boys are mine and Tiffanie is dads!!!! It's true, excpet when she is with puppies like now she is clinging to me & will until she has weaned them, then she is back with dad! My boys are very loving, Tiff has attitude really she does and she is so much stubbern then my boys. Also my boys are/was easier in my book to house train. Out of our 1st litter 2 boy/2 girls boy we're easier to house train. My Teddy loves his hair brushed but not Tiff. Galahad is learning. She is prissy @ touching her except when she is with puppies. So I really don't know I'd say Boys??? If I had another girl might be different tho?? Hugs, Lee & Babies |
I prefer the girls over boys. Girls don't hike their legs on everything! |
My male is a total lover, and has major personality! Plus he is a total Mommy's boy! Drives my husband nuts! My female is more laid back & has chosen my youngest son for her owner, but I think she more loyal to the whole family than my male, he loves everyone (me a little more than everyone else though!) |
