When it boils down - it's all about the money with some breeders. They can quote all the bible verse they want - but actions, ethics and reputation speak way louder...and it sounds like she just showed you how ethical she is....or should I say ISN'T.

Funny how some breeders can play so dumb and act like they've never heard of certain conditions (hydrocephalus). My Chanels breeder did the same thing when I told her Chanel had coccidia 4 days after bringing her home - she claimed she'd never heard of it too - yeah right

You can go 2 ways - never deal with her againm, do a review here and hope people see it ...or push her more and see if she makes an attempt to make it right - I don't see that happening though. I'm sorry she didn't care enough to help you thru the loss of your pretty girl - that really SUCKS!

This lady doesn't know what she's in for, because the word will definately get around. You should always be nice to people. Hasn't she ever heard the word..... NETWORKING!!!!

Funny....a complete stranger and wonderful breeder offered me her $3000 dog just because she felt bad about what has happened and I can't even get a boohoo outta Charlotte!
Yep, I think I have learned about "shopping" for a dog and I know I made a mistake by choosing Charlotte, and thanks to you guys here, I have a much better idea of what to look for and to ask!
So I assume Chanels breeder didn't help you out either?? Thank goodness you got her healthy and that her beauty made it all worth it (which isn't the point, I know)!! I wish I could meet your girls in person! And you of course :p

When Chanel first showed symptoms I called her ...she said she\'d be fine and it was the stress of a new home - like a dummy I believed her - and it got worse - an EMERGENCY Vet visit at 2am confirmed Coccidia ...

Coccidia is serious in a small puppy so I called to tell her what the vet told me and so she could take care of her other puppies ...and she played DUMB pretending she\'d never heard of it -this coming from a breeder who CLAIMED to be breeding over 20 years...
