Wow!! I am so incredibly happy for you!! I truly believe this is a sign from Lexxi...She sent a little angel for you! Reading this thread just made me so emotional for you!! Congratulations, and she is a total beauty :) |
I was always taught to give a blessing you also have to receive a blessing. In other words givers need to be receiver's also.... You gave Lexxi a blessing when you took her as your baby and loved her now she is giving you a blessing back for loving her......That's what I believe:angel2dl: You have been blessed |
I agree with everyone too. I believe she is Lexxie's gift to you. Her way of saying she is ok, but she doesn't want you to hurt inside for her. This new baby will not replace Lexxie but will help you to keep Lexxie close to your heart knowing Lexxie sent her to you because she loves you. Take her into your home and love her. As soon as I realized where your post was headed, I burst out in tears. It's meant to be. Corinne |
So where is the picture of your Angel? |
don't walk, RUN! OMG! Trina! I just saw this post! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO Excited for you!! This has to be a sign that Lexxi is trying to comfort you in her own little way!! What a gorgeous little girl you will be getting...and another Maltese to boot! How perfect is that!! My Angel came to us in the same way. She wasn't big enough to be a breeder so we got her at 10 months old. I named her Angel since i really think she was "sent' to me by God the same week when my son went off to Iraq. She kept me sane while he was over there and has been such a blessing. We got Princess at 11 months old from a different breeder but for the same reason. Both of these girls were the perfect additons to our family. We changed both of their names from what the breeder called them so don't be worried about changing your new baby's name if you want. Your little "Angel" will be there to comfort you and be your special little blessing now. I hope you will go get her soon!! It is obviously meant to be!! :D Don't walk, RUN!!! Don't let that baby get away. Keep us posted. HUGS!! XOXOX ....Linda |

I'm so glad you decided to accept! |
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet Quote:
I know you will find out what to call her when you cradle her in your arms. You are sure welcome to use Kissy or Angel or Princess! My girls would be honored. Of course, Kissy has the double letters that would fit in with all your other baby's names  and since she was your GE Buddy, well, that might just be meant to be too.:D I can't wait to hear when you get her next week!! Love, Linda & the PAK XOXOXO |
I haven't been on a lot lately & missed your thread about Lexxi. I am so sorry, I'll have to go back & read it. I find this a definite sign from Lexxi. The new little girl is adorable. What a wonderful person to do such a unselfish act & to just give her to you. It truly made me feel so good inside knowing that a total stranger can be so generous. God does look out for those who have Faith. |
When you have a hole in your heart..... FILL IT!!! Your not replacing Lexxi, she will always be in your heart. You should also feel good about a "wonderful mommy" referal from your friend. Congrats on your decision to get her. I can't wait to see pics of her. |
I think she is beautiful and I think that Lexi did send this baby girl to you. She'd want you to love another dog and give them the best life like you did for her. I know it may be painful at first to open up after such a loss, but really wouldn't Lexi just want you to be happy? I wish you all the luck in the world with her and I'm so sorry for your loss <3 |
So sorry to hear about your baby. But please know that this new baby is 1) not a replacment and 2) nothing you should feel guilty about. We got Ozzie a week after putting our first Yorkie down. Too soon? Maybe -- but Ozzie didn't think so. He is my best bud and one of the greatest gifts ever to come my way. Sounds like you've been given a similar opportunity. Don't pass it up.:) :) |
I'm so excited you guys! I KNOW this is from Lexxi! My husband however, does not know I said "YES!" He was telling me that he talked to his dad last night about everything that happened and in his story he was telling his dad "we have enough dogs, so we're not getting this dog, but how nice and what a gester", etc etc....lol! Well.....I have till next week to drop it on him somehow :p Our anniversary is June 14th as well.....sounds like a present to "US" - heehee! Anyway, he will completely accept her and I know he'll be in love with her. He's not the kind of guy that ever tells me no, I can't do or have that....so I'm not worried. I am trying to figure out the best way to come out and tell him though!! Wish me luck....as you all have said, I can't pass her up....the way it came about is just too weird! |
Well, there's a line from a movie with Steve Martin that I like called "A Simple Twist of Fate." (Based on Silas Marner.) Anyway, his character says: "When you turn a blessing away from your door, it goes to the one that takes it in." Or you could always fall back on Brando in the Godfather ... because you got an offer you couldn't refuse. LOL |

I am so sorry for your loss, but I'm so happy for you getting this adorable little Angel. I think it was just meant to be. |
This baby is both a blessing and an angel from Lexxi. Can't wait to see pictures. |
