Hmmmm, I really can't answer the teeth question. Does your vet have any comment on that? I know most people do the teeth extraction when they do the spay/neuter but since her's are coming in already, not sure what you should do. Sorry.... no help there. |

Bailey weighed in at a whopping 1.9lbs (she is 6 and 1/2 mo.) Today. We kept waiting as well because she is just so tiny. Finally a week ago we noticed her adult teeth growing in behind her baby teeth! She was very uncomfortable so we decided to go ahead with her spay. I droped her off earlyer today and was crying because I WAS SOOO TERIFIED that something would happen to her. I just got a call 20 min ago that all her teeth are pulled and she is spayed and doing great... I GET TO PICK HER UP AT 4!!!! YIPPI IM SO EXCITED!!! Just make sure you are confident in your vet. I love my vet and if it wasnt for her reassurance i might not have ever gotten her fixed. good luck with your little one and let us know what happens!!! |

If the baby teeth are actively keeping the second teeth from coming in properly you may want to consider it. You can just keep an eye on them and see what happens. I have two 6 mo old, I checked their teeth today. It is a little too soon to worry about having them out yet. The second teeth I like to have all erupted before I start worrying about the baby teeth. I can still see baby teeth in my two with no second teeth erupting yet. The canines are coming through but not through that much yet. |
I just went to get bailey... YIPPI!.... The only thing that the vet told me that I would watch out for with your little one, is that she had some problems with her blood sugar (because of the fasting) Now we have to watch her all night to make sure she is okayy. But she seems to be diong great! |
