| Do I dare?? I'm considering a hair cut for my boyz for summer but I'm not sure what to do. Do I dare give them the 'schnorkie' cut or just a puppy cut? How does the puppy cut look with the silk coat? I don't want them to look choppy like silky hair sometimes does when it's cut. What should I do? |

| I know what you mean, I have put off calling the groomer for awhile now. It will be done...this week...maybe???!! hee,hee I think all summer cuts look cute....and even with the different sytles, all groomers make it their own (meaning, they don't always look the same, but still cute). I am almost thinking of buzzing Mojo pretty short, but leaving longer hair on his face/head....I think someone posted a picture of it in the grooming section awhile back.

| I've been thinking of doing the same with Joey. I really like Maddie's (denise517) cut. I'm just chicken!!! I know it will grow out, but I love the long hair of the Yorkies.

| Well, I'm probably the LAST person here anyone will be asking for grooming advice...neither of mine of the standard flowing yorkie do. However, I truly think you dare. I love the shorkie cut! If Ginger's hair weren't so thin, I'd be doing that with her. I'm thinking of heading their with Mr. Bernie in a bit (as soon as he has enough hair for a skirt)...and besides, we'd love to see the pics!

| Well, Riley's hair is getting so long and something needs to be done...he shakes his head and you can't even tell he's a dog! His hair sweeps the floor and he's beautiful right after he's been groomed but that doesn't last long! They've only been to a groomer one time and it was for a 'personal' trim when they were about 6 months and 1 year old. I think Jo would be fine but I'm really now sure how Riley would be with the clippers touching him...he's so goosey! Honestly, I think that's what has kept me from making an appointment. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I love the long hair but it is a pain. I would try the puppy cut first and see if you like it.

| I actually like the buzzed look w/ the long face. Mojo wears so many clothes, that would be good....AND he could keep his long face hair for clips and bows! I might do that. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE his long hair, but we are so active outdoors in the summer that everyone in my family says to let him be "free" and cool. Whatever...no, our appt. is tomorrow morning (eek)....so, he will come home short, but he is still cute no matter what!!!! Who knows, I might like his hair shorter since he always wears clothes....and his hair just puffs out of the front and back of his shirts! I'll post pictures tomorrow! (maybe, unless, I'm too embarrassed, ha).

| I got a wild hair and buzzed almost all of mine this weekend. I got so tired os spending an entire day on the weekend bathing and grooming dogs and did it even though I never thought I would ever do it. They all look a little goofy but they sure are happier now, especially Louie. |

| Hair Cuts I get my little Bella buzzed for the summer months. It is so much easier to take care of and she loves it especially when she goes in her pool. No dripping tangled hair. I do keep the hair around her face longer. Jay

| I had to threaten Riley with a hair cut tonight. Usually he loves to be brushed but my Mom, Aunt and Uncle were coming over for a boat ride so I told Riley I had to brush his hair but he didn't want to be brushed...he wanted to wait at the door for Grandma! I never should have told him Grandma was coming until after I brushed his hair! So, I told him if he didn't want me to brush his hair everyday I'd just have to take him in for a haircut...now I just have to work up the nerve to do it! Jo is no trouble...he just lays on my lap and lets me brush him...he's such a good boy! |
