It's Official - Patti of Concorda My dear Yorkie friend's, After pondering over a name for Brenda's Jcee to whom I am very grateful too, for her generosity, and providing, allowing us to purchase her precious baby, I wish to assure you Brenda I will love and care for her as I did my beloved Kassie Kisses, please let your heart be at ease, and thank you so much for your kindness. My friend's after tossing a number of names around in my head, I decided in some way, the name had to honor, thank Patti, Connie, Corinne and Dan for as long as my new baby and I lived, that everytime I called the babie's name I would recall, be reminded of the love, these three ladies showed me by putting and bringing this all togeather, culminating with a new precious furball in my life, there aren't enough thank you's in the world to show how grateful I am to them, so my thought was to incorporate their names into my new babie's name, thus whenever I use this name not only will it encompasse, honor them but also all of you my dear friends, for they could not have accomplished this on their own, and I'm sure they will agree, it took the love, support of each one of you in so many way's, so my thought is, I also honor you, everyones participation in making it possible, for putting this precious baby in my arms. When ever anyone ask me my babies name I will recall to mind all that you my dear friends have done, your many post's of support, encouargement, your sincere condolences in Kassie's and my behalf, for caring, and the many times you brought Papi to tears because of the opening of your hearts to this stranger, in a way I never thought humanly possible, I was in awe from the very first day I came to Yorkietalk, I still remain in total, unbeliveable amazement, I can't believe this happended to me, for me, truly the love, the heart, the spirit of your selflessness, and generousity will be indelibly imprinted in this name, and upon my heart, and if I could, I would envelope all of you within my arms, give you all a big Yorkie hug and a Papi squeeze Oh yes, the new babie's name is officially, ( Patti of Concorda ) incorporating (Con) Connie - (Cor) Corinne - (Da) Dan. On a side note, the definition of Concord is harmony/accord, and does that not imbue the spirit, the love of this Yorkie family, for without it, this would never have begun, never have been, and Patti of Concorda and Papi will be forever grateful to you for as long as we live. I can't wait to travel with my new baby, run into my neighbor's, meet people, and someone's ask me her name, oh what a tail I have to tell, a rather long one at that, for her name is not just a name, for it's all about you my friends, it's a story of love, of Yorkiet Hearts, and how my baby and I came to be, you are our blessing, our miracle. How is it possible to ever thank you in a way you know is sincere, and from the depths of my heart ? Here is a start: Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, very much Ever so humbly your friend. Gratefully Papi Note:: Websters New World Dictionary Concord:< L. Agreement, union <concors (gen.concordis). of the same mind < com-, togeather + cor, heart] 1.agreement; harmony 2. a) friendly and peaceful relations, as between nations. In this definition, these words, do we not see embellished in our association with and among one another, in the giving and caring hearts, the harmony and agreement, LOVE rooted in the very core, foundation of our Yorkie family ? |

Papi...I'm so pleased that you came up with the most meaningful name possible for your new baby!!! Patti of Concorda is absolutely fitting, and she is going to have a wonderful, happy, long and joyous life with her "PAPI". I've been wondering what you would name her...and I LOVE it!!! Kassie, your sweet angel is so proud of you, she would never let this happen if it wasn't meant to be...Remember that. Anxiously, maybe not so patiently waiting for you and Patti to become united...Oh it's so hard to wait...And another thing, it was my pleasure to have taken part in this, it pleases me to no end...and i want to hear lots and lots of stories, not only of your adventures with Patti, but also your sweet memories of Kassie. Hugs to you Papi, and I'm proud to call you my forever friend!!! |
Papi, you have no idea how you have touched my heart in the past few days since finding the memorial thread about your terrible loss of your Kassie Kisses. I am not sure if you read my post, but I am going to post it again here: "OMG! I just found this thread for the first time tonight. I have no words, I am so moved, touched by everything I have read, I'm actually I sitting here hiccuping through my tears, wiping my eyes because I cannot see through the blur. To read about Papi's unimaginable loss... all you wonderful, wonderful people's kind responses, actions and words, from the amazing poems to those simply breathtaking pictures. I feel like I want to shout it to the sky, how amazing you all are, and Papi, I just want to send you sooooo much comfort and love. I know only too well what you went through with your beloved little Kassie. My precious little Tigger had the same horrendous disease last year MHDSRIP. And so now, I am heading over to the thread on the Yorkie train for Papi's new baby. Papi, when my Tigger died, I thought my heart would break. I cried so much, was inconsolable for weeks. I want you to know, that when my precious little puppy Mango came bouncing into my life, several months later, with all her ridiculous little antics, she soothed my sadness, restored the smile to my face, lessened the ache I felt for my little boy. She does not replace him, but is such a totally joyful addition to my little family. No matter the bad day, one look at that little face, puts a smile in my heart..... Papi, I just want to add one more thing...... the reason why you have touched me so deeply. You remind me soooo much of my amazing, wonderful father, who was my best friend his entire, precious life. He too was besotted with his little Yorkie, Toffee. The way you describe the little stories about her, that funny little dance she did........ I can close my eyes and smile, because I see my wonderful Daddy dancing in our garden back home with his precious little furbaby. It takes a truly amazing human being to share with us what you did. Wish I could see you in person, so I could give you the same great big hug that I would give my Dad, if he were still with me. Bless you, and I can't wait to see your happy ending. With soooooo much love, Lauren" Let the name Patti of Condordia always remind you of how many hearts you touched here at Yorkie Talk. I have looked at all your pictures on the gifts a la heart page; they both warm and break my heart at the same time. In the next few days, we will all be watching as little Patti begins her journey into your life and your loving arms. |
PAPI I Love it!;) What a great way to have a tribute to the ladies and Da man :) I will start calling her that as soon as we Pick her up :) I will let you know what is going on with the Move across the country as soon as Barbra and I get together and talk about the time to pick Little Patty up. Papi My Daughter and I can not wait to meet you and Give you a Huge YT Hug. :ghug: |

Uh Oh! A very good day my Yorkie friends, May I thank all of you, for your kind thoughts, I will try to respond to all befor it becomes so overwhelming as on the thread, In Memorial to Kassie Kisses, as much as I wanted to, I just couldn't keep up, and felt terrible as there were many I never replied back to, and my guilty feelings was becoming very stressful as I believed the love shown me was deserving of a courteous, and respectful reply, that wasn't alway's true, I'm sorry to say, so if I may, those of you I never got back to, please forgive me, I am sincerely sorry. Now to my Uh Oh! and please don't be upset with me but last night a thought for an addition to Patti of Concorda came to mind, I don't know, kind of felt it gave the name sort of a melodic tone, and can't believe I didn't think of it befor as it just seem to fit with Patti, and the word pattycake thus my thought is Patticake or Patticake of Concorda and I believe Patti enjoy's baking cakes, at least I know she is today, as she is baking not one, but two Chocolate cakes for her dear husband Jack's special day, his favorite from what I hear. Therfore I would like to put this to a vote, have your input on the name please, should I keep it as is now or Patticake ? Just a brief nay or yay will be appreciated, your vote counts, I will leave this request up till Tuesday morning, May 29th at which time I believe Lori will begin her trek from the heartland to Pennsylvania, pick up her friend Elaine, and complete the journey to Jersey with our new baby, I say our's as it was conceived here by you my freinds, our Yorkietalk Mom's and Dad's, I feel you are the one's who spiritually gave birth to Patti of Concorda - Patticake of Concorda I will tally the vote Tuesday morning as would like to have it ready for Lori when she picks the baby up, and all goes well, according to plan. Your Vote Counts +++++++++++++Vote Now +++++++++++++++Vote Here +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++NAY or YAY++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Thank you so much for your participation. Papi |
Definite YAY for PATTICAKE!!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: |
Vote acknowledged Quote:
Good day my dear friend laurenr, Thank you, your vote is acknowledged, we have 1 YAY - 0 NAY Papi |
Papi, Papi, Papi! I love Patticake! Patticake of Concorda! Besides it would come in really handy in certain situations... for instance if you wrote: "Patti met so many people during her walk today" I will not know if you are talking about Baby Blessing's mom or your Patti of Concorda! :D Thank you for putting so much thought into her name. What a gift you have given us. It's our honor to be included. Corinne |
Oh, that's a YAY! |
What a touching post...I cannot wait until your little girl reaches your loving and deserving arms. :D |
Patticake - YAY! |
YAY!!! and I'll get to play Patticake all the way to you :);) |
This is such a touching story. I'm so glad your getting this baby. I vote for Patticake as well...;) |
