I have one. I was going to get two this time around...start with one and then add another 1-2 years down the road. I got another one briefly (because while picking up mine I fell for another one too) but he was not as nice and had "issues" so he had to go back to the breeder. The fact that they played was SO nice...but the fact that he had "issues" and I still had to train my 6mos old...just too much for me. I debate back and forth all the time. My dog would love another dog...but he is SO much work. Very mischevious. And the housebreaking...well he knows what to do...but if you don't respond to him quickly...he's going to go where he wants...so that needs more work. If I had two, I wouldn't feel right taking my dog as many places as I do and leaving the other one home. Now I can shove Sparks in a bag or the car SO easily. He is 7lbs so carrying two yorkies in a purse is not an option. At work, peop[le are happy to watch Sparks...but another one...I don't think so. I go back and forth about it. Plus I homecook and do supplements which are very expensive and we plan on doing agility. I do like the bonding of just one. suz |
:) We have one little Yorkie girl, and she "owns" the house! She is loved to death and we take her everywhere as much as we can. Occasionally I think that I would like another, but she is a handful!!!! I think of the double grooming and vet bills and the double "accidents" on the carpet, and taking two on vacation. Right now, I think that I will just spoil mine that much more!:animal-pa |
Just One Sophie for 13 years, and now Charlie who is 10. Sometimes I think he should have a buddy, but he doesn't bark. Dear Sophie was a yapper and the best guard dog. So, another could teach the "old dog new tricks" like noise. Hmm...would be nice to have a little girl though. |
I only have one yorkie and she is the light of my life. I think that if I had more she wouldn't get the attention I want to give her. In the future I may want more but only if I intend to breed, if not then I'll always stick to one and just take him or her wherever I go, and as you said, SPOIL HER ROTTEN!! (It's soo much fun!!) |
I only have one her name is Gizzie and I spoil her rotten. She goes to the spa and gets aroma therapy baths and massages and i only give her bottled water I love her more than anything I dont think I could handle two or more. She is a little handful:)Congrats on your new addition:D |
I have one who is spoiled rotten already and I am seriously thinking of getting him a sister by the end of the year!! He would at least have company...now traveling with two??? hmmmmm not sure about that one yet as Nathan goes with me a lot so traveling with 2....????guess it would be twice the fun??? :) lol |

My one and only!!! I only have one little girl, Roxee. She is such a little prize! I really would like to have another little furbaby, but I think my husband would shut the door on that. He really did not want a puppy, but said yes to Roxee. Now he loves her so much. (He may not admit it, but he really does.) They are such sweet babies, even when they are being mischievous!!! |
romeo is the only one right now but we do plan on getting a little girl next year. i think having two of them would be so much fun and i love seeing all the photo's that some of you post that have 3 or 4! it must be so exciting.:D |
