bangs??? do any of you cut bangs on your baby? I am in the process of growing maggie's hair out and i have been told by a couple of people that i should cut her bangs a little so that if I dont have her hair back it is not straight down in her face. i am a bit confused as to what this would look like. so if you have "bangs" on your baby..can you show me a pic? I am just super curious. she has some parts of the very front of her hair that are shorter because it is growing out but it is not much at all.... thanks... |
2 Attachment(s) Chloe has bangs, but not by my choice. The groomers I had used cut them on her. I'm growing hers out, and her groomer and I have an understanding about cutting her hair, LOL. OK, in the first picture, you can see it growing out. The stuff that can't reach her topknot is the bangs. The second picture shows how it looked right after it was cut (that's an older picture). |
my whole crew, boys andd girls, have bangs. it is a personal choice for me. they play so much andd most of them have such silky hair that bows and etc will not stay in. but, i only have three in full coats anyway. the rest are in puppy cuts. |

Thanks! :) Yeah, we kinda like her :2hearts2: :p |
2 Attachment(s) Carley had short hair (really short) when I got her and I let her grow out. I had done the bangs, as I let her top grow out. Now I am letting the bangs grow out...they seem to grow slower than the rest of her hair  So the first is Carley with bangs and the 2nd is with those bangs growing out. Also, in my avatar, the one with Cooper, you can see her before I let her top grow and she only had bangs. |
Gracie had bangs, I am trying to grow them out now. Her top knot hair got so long that the bangs no longer prevented it from falling down in her face. For some reason YT is not letting me upload a pic, sorry. |
I used to cut them too. But I have been growing out both of my girl's bangs. Abbie's is finally getting long enough to stay back in her pony tail. And Elle's is getting there. If my camera's battery wasn't dead I would take a quick pic and show ya. |
4 Attachment(s) Pixie in my Avatar( the one without the bow) has bangs and I keep them pretty short. I love it. SO easy to take care of. I recentlu cut them a little shorter so they are spikey. It looks so cute . |

my girls hairs are so thick that when they did have bangs, it was a constant battle cutting them weekly. i am now growing them out. it will be easier for me to just pull them back. i guess it depends on what kind of coat your babies have. if it is think like mine and grows fast, don't have them. but if it is a slow growing coat, go ahead if you like the look |

let me ask, how do you gals cut their bangs? or do you have the groomer do it? see, coco's hair grows so fast i would have to take her every two weeks $$$$$$$ |
Max has bangs. I just had his bangs trimmed 2 days ago. It's really easy and he won't keep a topknot in anyway. I keep him very boyed out anyway. He has a Yankees jacket, a black hoodie and a red vest with tigers embroidered on it. He's my little man. |
I trim Otis's bangs. He was sitting outside the other day and I noticed he looked like the sheepdog that sits on top of the cliff in the old school road runner/bugs bunny cartoons! He needed a trim!!! He's just not a "full coat" kind of boy. He doesn't tolerate brushing and trimming very well. It's easier and cooler for him to keep him short! |
I cut Pixie's myself. She has never been to a groomer her coat is so easy to care for, |
Bangs?????????? When you cut bangs do you just hold hair up and cut what is right over eyes, or do you cut between the eyes too. I am worried about cutting them and they not standing up. |
3 Attachment(s) My husband and I went on a weekend get-a-way. While we were out, my inlaws were dog sitting. My father inlaw decided that Nomi's hair was too far in her face, so he cut her bangs! The two pictures are her without a bow, the third is how she looks with a bow and bangs on the side. We are trying to grow them back out again because it is hard to get a bow in her hair now. |
So would you say to not do the bangs. I guess if you do you must keep them short. |
Teddy has bangs but his are long and in the way of his eyes so he can't really see. |
well, i cut her some bangs. not much, just took a small bit and cut them. she is getting a bath tonight and I will post pictures. I think I really like them!! Even with her hair back, it looks kinda cute. but with her hair down...it is SOOOOOOOOOOO much better! we are training her hair to fall "back" instead of going straight forward and into her face and the bangs are really helping. she can see!!!!!!!!! :) i'll post pics once she is dried from her bath. oh...and i cut them with thinning shears so that it wasn't just a straight line on top of her head, it gave it more of a jagged look. |

I am trying to get maggies hair on top get long. I've never cut it but its so soft and silky I cant keep a bow in it without a band and now I feel like it hasnt grown that long or thick because the bands I think are breaking off her hair. So now I'm refusing to put a band in it and just let it hang. I've finally got a few little hair clasp that I can keep in it for a while if I put a clip or something behind it. anyway, its just gonna have to be over her eyes for a while until it thickens up or gets longer which is has gotten longer but seems like its breaking off to me and now it seems shorter than it did for a while. |
Mojo had the "visor" cut or bangs done before....I have been letting them grow out though because I want all of his top hair to be able to be pulled back. Bangs are cute and helps keep the hair out of their eyes, but I probably won't have that cut again for awhile. |

I wonder what the show people do to keep the hair from breaking? Do they just have their hair wrapped until the day of the show? |
i like it long so i can put a bow which i know shell take off soon as i leave to work:rolleyes: |

It seems like you can't have bangs and also put up the hair in a bow, right? |
