Puppy Coat Turning Whitish Um, I'm trying to buy a Yorkie and this person wants to sell me hers but the puppy's head area's black fur is kind of whitish, greyish. Is that normal? She says it is a purebred Yorkie and she got it from a breeder but I don't know why the head hair is that color. Is it just a transition phase from black to tan/gold on the head? Click to see the picture. [img]http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a52/Michiyo-Fir/?action=view¤t=mimi3.jpg[/imgl] |
I think she's purebred, just that she wil be light when she gets older. I'm not an expert, but that's my opinion. She doesn't look like a mix to me |
I cant see the pic. But that is what usauly happens with the yorkie, so I wouldnt worry to much. |

Also, does her fur look wooly or cottony to anyone? |
He's gorgeous. I think He's just going to have a very light color. |
He is lovely. My baby boy is almost the same and he is purebread |
Most Yorkie's heads turn light as they get older. Look at the pics on this site...the head turns a gold/tan and the body stays black/blue. That baby is a cutie:p |

He is so cute, he just starting to break color. My little boy has also gone grey. I can't wait to see his true color. |
Oh your baby is beautiful. you are a lucky girl. |
She's a beautiful little girl. Max's gray is turning golder and golder, and he's a little over a year old. His body is black with gold legs. |
Thanks everyone! |
