Help! I'm Already Crying! I just called the vet to make an appointment to get Betty spayed and have teeth removed...and they said to bring her in tomorrow morning!! I thought it would be awhile...not right away! Now I'm crying! And I have to leave her there overnight!! Without anyone being there. I'm hoping I don't make a complete fool of myself in the morning and start blubbering. Please say a prayer for my Betty. I'm so nervous and worried. Thank you. |
I cried like an idiot when I dropped Autumn off my daughter told me to stop because I was embarrassing her (shes only 7 - can you imagine) Look on the bright side, by having it done tomorrow you dont have long to sit and think about it and get even more worked up. It will be over before you know it. Good luck and keep us posted! |
aww it will be ok. i cried after i left Layla there... i didn't want her to see me upset so i triedo keep it together for her. but i COMPLETELY understand how you feel. I'll be thinking of Betty tomorow :) |
Lots and lots of prayers coming your way. I know how hard is to leave your baby somewhere ealse for even a couple of minutes, let alone a whole night. But she'll be ok!!! YT prayers are the best! Good luck sweet Betty...we all want to see you smiling again in a couple of days.Boo-Boo says hi and send tons of puppy kisses. PS; Tell your mommy to stop stressing |
Don't worry. It won't do either of you any good and the baby will feel the tension once you get her home. Find something to occupy your time. I went shopping after we dropped Ozzie off and then did stuff around the house the rest of the day to make sure he would be very comfy. (changed his bed, scrubbed the kitchen down, put down a clean liner for his papers, pureed food, etc.) I didn't go to work. I knew I'd be worthless there until I knew he was OK.) I know how you feel and empathize, but it will be over before you know it. Good luck and keep us posted. |
Im wondering why you have to leave her there overnight? Is it because they are doing her spay in the afternoon? Maybe you could ask for them to please do her in the morning and then you could pick her up in the late afternoon and that way she would be home with you so you can keep an eye on her. I personally wouldnt like the fact that she will be there overnight unattended. That would make me very nervous. JMO:D |
Was anyone else required to leave their pup overnight after getting spayed?? |
No they let me bring Jewels home that night. I would see if they will let you bing her home since no one is there overnight |
She should not have to stay the night.....None of the 3 had to do so. Ask why???? and seek another vet. She does not need the added stress. Good luck |
Sorry, but there is no way I would allow my dog to stay overnight if no one will be there. If anything would happen, no one will know until morning. I never allow my dogs to spend the night, if I have to put them in a crate overnight, I can do that at home. Baron Quote:

I just called the Vet's office back and spoke with someone else. I told her of my concern about leaving Betty there overnite ALONE. She said to speak with the doctor about it in the morning. She said they can't MAKE you leave her overnite if you don't want to. SO, I feel better about that. I would like to be sure that if a problem DID arise, I WOULD BE THERE TO SEE ABOUT IT. Thanks for your responses. I'd feel SO much beter if she were at home with me. |
She is much better to come with you and have someone with her. I hate when they keep them overnight and not a soul in the building with them. What good does that do. :( They have someone who comes in to check on them but at home they have someone around the clock who loves them and that to me is worth its weight in gold. Best of Luck to you. :) deana and leo |
