I cant believe I am asking this question..... Sam got fixed on the 27th of April.... well, is it normal that he has nothing there? I mean... NOTHING... he looks like a girl:confused: besides his lil *pencil*....Am I crazy? I didnt think they removed EVERYTHING -- is it supposed to be this way? |
That's normal. And it so cute how you asked! It's because they actually remove the testies (sorry guys don't mean to make you squirm). They actually have testie implants for people who are not comfortable with it. |

I really thought they left him a lil something there.... Thank you for reassuring me Im not completely nuts! |

I love my boys but I do prefer the smooth look. |
LOL- I thought they just made them.. inactive then I realized.. nope they just get rid of them all together.. I was a little surprised myself.. ;) |
Your cute to ask that question! Bud looks the same. I like it better than the other way around. Yuk! |
I think males look better without their nuggets |
How mean! LOL. I guess I've never seen yorkie "nuggets". There's a very nice kitty that comes by and visits us once in a while, and I have named him "Fuzzy Pompoms". Cute little cottony balls of fuz! |
Okay now I don't feel so bad... I've only had one other male dog in my life and he got fixed when I was about 11, so I never paid attention to it before. When we got Chip and his... stuff... started to drop I was like "what is that?" "is that supposed to be there?" Adam looked at me like I was nuts (no pun intended). They are just so tiny! lol |

But yes, in response to the OP - there is not supposed to be anything there :p Our cat was neutered several years ago and his family jewels are gone too  |
Regarding this topic~ Has anyone had a yorkie with only one of the fuzzy pom poms having come down? Charlie has both it is obvious but I questioned Henry so when he was at the vet to have his ear checked he confirmed what I thought. We will be waiting until they are 8 months giving him another month because the vet said it can be a more complicated surgery. Has anyone gone through this before?:( |
Oh God I just went and read some of the other replies and this thread is just totally cracking me up. I mean I am literally sitting here laughing out loud :D The babies are looking at me like I've lost it :D |
Well I have to say I honestly didn't know they removed it all either. I felt horrible after I got Cody fixed. I saw on TV a while back how they do a vasectomy (so spelt wrong) on a man. They just take the vein and cut it. Well I just figured that is what they do with dogs. I was hit brode side  by the removal of his go-nads...LOL I felt so guilty. But he does look alot better than having them hanging and being ugly :D |
OKay my lil boy is 10 weeks.....and there is NOTHING there....When do the start to make an "appearance" should I be able to tell where they are gonna be?? I mean it's like a lil girly right now. And when will the "red rocket" make an appearance?? He already humps, hence the nick name "humpmeister" lol but no rocket in site....So will this change? Lordy....what a topic....but I was seriously just looking at him bottom yesterday wondering about it.....Glad someone else brought it up....:bravo: |

Poor lil Sam!! We can still call him "Sam the man" though :p hahah Can I just say, I was at the vet and a lady was picking up her dog and she was saying that she kept his "junk" at home in a JAR! Hahah! They gave them to her and she literally got to carry them in her purse and then keep them on the mantel or wherever she keeps em! |

OMG!!! That is crazy!!! I thought I was an insane Yorkie parent!!! ha,ha I did ask my vet everything before we had Mojo done....what it would look like, everthing.....she did mention getting the "nauticles" sp? implants, but we were like....hmmmm...maybe not. I think they were pretty expensive too - as if I would actually do that. When we had our black lab done, not long after, he started having major hip/leg problems and my DH swore that the vet cut something....as if having them "fixed" has anything to do w/ their hips! Men! Ha,ha! |
LOL I am printing this... the people at work thought I was crazy! Funny stuff!!! Sam's stuff dropped at about 4 months....and I knew I could get him fixed at 5! |
HAHAHAHA, this entire thread cracked me up :p :p :p |
My Biewer, Nappy had a retained testicle (nut, pom pom, , jewel, whatever we call them now lol), when he was neutered. I found out from my vet that the farther they have to go up to find the retained testicle, the more complicated the surgery. They told me it was similar to a female spay, as far as the trauma. My first male, had a simple neuter, both pom poms were down, and he took HIS OWN stictches out after 3 days!!!! The vets were amazed at the intricate job he did!! lol But it sure freaked his mommy out:D |
OH MY WORD! I am rolling on the floor busting a GUT! Ya'll are so funny. The dogs are confused and I know hubby's wondering what on earth is so funny... ROFL |
I had my Border Collie done when he was about 5mnths old, his morning routine was to roll on the bed with me for a while and have his tummy rubbed before we got up and went outside to toilet. This one morning, about 3wks after he'd been done, he was rolling as usual and I happened to notice he looked swollen down there, on a closer look it seemed only his 'thingy' was swollen... my immediate reaction was that the vet hadn't done his job properly and I was all set to ring them after I'd got up. I let Ky out and then went and got dressed, let him back in and checked again... yep, swelling had gone down... imagine if I had of rang the vet saying he'd been fixed and yet had woken up with 'Morning Glory' when he actually was just bursting for a pee! :( |
Diesel still has his nah-nah\'s. I didn\'t have the heart to wack em. He was so little at the time and I was scared to put him under. He doesn\'t mark my house and he doesn\'t run loose outside unless he is with me.We live on the side of a mountain and we have golden ret around us. SOOOOO. LOL His hair is so long that you can\'t even see them when he walks. I always said they looked like little swollen pecans! LOL |
