Pierced Ears? My mom and I took the girls in the stroller for a walk down town today and she asked me if you can pierce there ears  and I said I had no idea. I said it would be so cute but I would think you would have to do that when there a puppy. Any one know? |
I've never seen with pierced ears, but I have no idea if you could! Boy, I guess I was a bundle of help!! lol |
I would think their hair would get tangled in them and they would be prone to infection. JMO. It would be cute if it could work. |
Might be dangerous if they scratch their ear or play with other dogs, the earring could get ripped out! I think you could get it done, but I don't know of anyone who does pierced ears for dogs. |

i would think it would definatly get ripped out if they were playing with another dog, and could get infected so easily!! |

O.k...let me be the voice of reason here...they're dogs...no, you don't pierce their ears. |

That's is one of the cruelest (sp?) (not to mention downright ugly and stupid on the owner's behalf) things I have ever seen. :thumbdown |
it would be cute, but I would be afraid they would get ripped out. |
Just the thought of it to me is very very wrong :( |
All it would take is one good "scratch" with a hind leg to rip the earring right out. I'm sure Gracie would have it out in 3 seconds flat. Common sense tells me if it were the thing to do, it would be commonplace. |

Definitely not for me... I think that's taking things a little too far. The Hello Kitty tattoo was cute though... Not that I would do that either but it's much more acceptable to me than the piercing, since many dogs are tattooed for ID instead of the microchip. |

I'm really sorry...I didn't intend for it to make people upset :( It's definitely graphic... |
Lets all remember these furbabys of ours are DOGS! Yes we love them like a member of the family, BUT----They are DOGS!!! I love my ("Yorkies") just the way they are!!! :aimeeyork :aimeeyork |

Even a tatoo is pushing it in my opinion. Can you imagine how unhappy they would be. I don't even dress Diesel up. He is spoiled beyond belief and he LOVES playing in the dirt and roughing it. No offense to those here who like to dress their Yorkies up. LOL It just isn't something that I want to do. |
I seen a rott with a big diamond stud in one ear once. Hannah doesn't even like having a ponytail in, she is rubbing her head on the ground and trying to get it out-which she does, so I think that would be so uncomfortable for them. I think that you would be digging through poop to find the earrings everyday..... |
I just wanna know WHY would someone even consider it ??? :( They should just stick to piercing their OWN ears or nose or nipple...whatever floats their boat - but why put a dog thru that ???? The dog has no say in the matter and it's just cruel |
JMO......NOPE, wouldn't do it! Too much to maintain the ear area of yorkies, they do scratch their ears (just the thought of ripping the ear ring out gives me the willies). If they have a playmate, I only see a dangerous situation happening with that...........so NO, I wouldn't even consider it!:D |

Yes they are "dogs" :aimeeyork so why do we dress them up in dresses, necklaces, shoes, bows and barrettes? if there just "dogs" |
Okay that is just cruel and insane. Pierce your own ear, nipple, tongue or anything else but why would we do this to your dog. I think those people have gone completely overboard and should be ashamed of themselves.:thumbdown  |
