the other stuff doesn't inflict pain on them...I know my girls love to wear clothes and bows.....but anyone that goes so far as to pierce a dogs ear is inflicting Pain on that dog for their OWN amusement ....and I think that's where most all of us draw the line...We love our dogs too much to ever make them cry. There...I feel ever so much better :D :D :D I still cant believe anyone would do that to a dog |

It sounds like it would be asking for trouble. Scratching, pulling it out, eating it, infections, ripped ears, etc. I'd keep away from it. |
Peircing a dogs ear, oh please, ive seen it all now. It is just down right cruelty. These people should be reported to animal welfare. As for the people who love to dress their little darlings up. I see nothing wrong with this, at long as it doesnt hurt them |

 great post  |
My Topher takes such great pride in pulling out Sophie's topknot bows, elastics, baretts (sp), clips...I think he considers it his daily mission in life. I can only imagine what he'd do with an earring (and an ear). (He uses poor little Sophie's topknot as a handle..though for some reason she doesn't seem to mind..lol..so they don't last long :)) Yes, they're dogs, and yes, we do enjoy 'prettying them up' with clothes and things but I think tattoos and earrings is taking it much too far. I think it could even be considered abusive. |
no thats insane they would just rip them out |
I would never do that |
I think a pretty collar or hair bows and such would be enough. I'm totally against tattoo and piercing. |

I still do not understand why their tails are docked ... |
That is SO funny. I had my girls out today with their harnesses and bows and someone stopped me and said "Now all they need is earrings!" I would never do it but I am surprised Paris Hilton has not thought of that yet. LOL |
