Sorry for not updating you all yesterday, but I got home very late in the evening as it is around 4 hour drive to The University where my Boo-Boo had his surgery. We went there at 10 am and they did all the test pre-op and they took him in the surgery at 1 pm. They only spoke to us at 4:30pm to let us kknow how he is. I don't really know the medical terms, but they did like an exploratory surgery and they said that Boo-Boo does not have a liver shunt but he is suspected to have MVD, or another liver disease. They took a biopsy of his liver and the results will be in either thursday or friday. He woke up ok from the anesthetic(which was what i FEAR most) and he ate just a couple of hours after coming out. He kept all the food in as well. The vet called me in the evening once I reached home as well and the reason beeing is that I have asked him to neuter him before Boo-Boo went in but they said they might not have enaugh time. But when Simon the vet called they said they neutered him as well b/c they could not find a liver shunt to close so they had enaugh time which is good as I was so afraid of them oppening him up again.But so far so good. Will keep you updated once the vet will call again. But tomorrow my hubby and I have the day off work and go to visit our lil baby boy.

Thank you again for all your prayers. They have worked mirracles for my baby boy.You have kept me sane and with my feet on the ground.You are all so special. I am sure if he could speak he would thank you as well. I will try to take some pics of him tomorrow and post them.

oh wow - that's great he doesn't have LS but what about MVD ?? Do they feel he's treatable and going to be ok ?? Sending more prayers your way and I really hope it's something you can manage thru diet and medication ...or better - NOTHING !! GET WELL BOO-BOO !!!!!!

prayer is powerful!! I am glad that he is doing well and I pray the worst is over and it will be nothing but good news and a healthy fast recovery from here on out!!! Please keep us informed!!!
p.s. and you make sure you take care of yourself to mommy cause Boo Boo needs you healthy and strong to help him get better so you make sure your eating etc!!!

So glad to hear Boo Boo got thru his surgery and it's not LS. Still praying that whatever it is, it's treatable and he'll back home and up to snuff soon.

Hi everyone. Thanks again for everything. I have been in Bristol today to see Boo-Boo. The vet said the tests results did not come yet. He said that I can take Boo-Boo home tomorrow and he might have the results for the tests as well. I was so worried before I went to see him but now I feel a lot more better. But I felt so sorry for my poor baby as he had all his tummy shaved and his two front paws. I wanted to take some pictures so you can tell me what you think about the stitches, but I forget the camera in the car. LOL But will make sure I'll take some tomorrow when we come home. He was soooooooo happy to see me and I've got thousands of kisses. The vet even said that my baby has a fan club...Imagine that. LOL

hi!! i just caught on this thread!!! I am so happy so far boo-boo is ok! and I really hope that the test results are promising and that he'll be oky, or at least ahvea manageable disease. b/c i can see how much you love your baby and that he'll be more than well taken care of.
