Jake's Mom, Didn't mean for it to sound like a criticism of your post -- that's not the case at all. It just kills me how something that is specifically designed for good (ie. returning a lost dog to his family) can be twisted for such vile purposes! Definitely good to know about these things! |
this is why I dont put certian info on them I only put the town and state and then my cell number that way no one can look the address up from the phone number. I want to get the micro-chip done real soon. How much dos it cost? |
It cost me $35 to microchip |
That is so awful. To steal a dog by the info on the name tag and not only that for breeding?? Geez. My dogs both have name tags and It only says their name and my cell number on them. I will not put my address since i was moveing arround the time i got olivers tag i didnt want to put my address on it and i didnt think it needed it anyway my cell phone is always with me. I would just die if someone broke into my house and stole either one of them. |
What a vile thing to even think of doing. There are way too many bottom feeders these days. I have to have Max's ID tag changed now. Thanks for the info and I'm so glad that the dog was returned! |

That is just awful! :thumbdown I have my cell number on all of the munchkins tags, it's the fastest way to reach me and I was warned about putting my adress on there tags a while ago for a similar reason. It is SO sick what people do these days! :thumbdown I too have a security system and my house is alarmed all night and even during the day if I'm not going out anywhere. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would love the chance to break in and steal three tiny yorkies. It's too bad that things are like this now, when my parens grew up they left their doors unlocked day and night and they lived in Miami. |
wow that is scary! Good thing I don't have tags on Teddy and London with my address on them. |
My trainer said to put your name, not the dog's name, and your cell # on the tag. 2nd # can be your trainer's #, husband's number, vet's number--someone who would recognize your name.... |
