Thanks To Everyone!!! I want to thank everyone so much for your thoughts and prayers. No one can understood what I was and still am going through as much as you wonderful, caring people here on YT can. I appreciate this forum more then anyone could ever know. I wanted to give everyone an update on where I am at in the "furbaby" scheme of things. I read every single post and it helped me to realize that I do have love to give to another little baby, and I wouldn't be replacing Maxx, (which is what I was most afraid of, other then another hurt) but I would be sharing my love that I wanted to give to him to another little one. Maxx will not be forgotten but I can't let his loss stop me from being happy with another little Yorkie. So I went to the breeder who I got my Pixie (my Chi) from and saw a beautiful little boy that he had. I held him, snuggled with him and calmed him down. He was only 8 weeks old and away from his initial home for only 2 days when I saw him. He seemed to take to me but I was reluctant, something holding me back. So I came home that night and looked at our local news circular (which I had been checking religiously with no luck for the past several months) and there was an ad from a breeder for Yorkies, 2 males, 12 weeks old. So I called the next day and spoke with her for a long time. Everything about her and her Yorkies is what everybody hopes to find. She gave me her website address and I viewed the parents online and fell in love with her beauties. I went to her home that very day and stayed there for several hours. It was "Yorkie Heaven" so to speak. So many beautiful Yorkies right there as part of the family. They even take them all camping in their HUGE R.V. bus. Her and her husband treated me so wonderfully. More importantly, you could see the love they have for their furbabies. I sat on the floor with the two puppies and their mommy roaming around me and lo and behold the smallest of the two, which was deemed the independent one who never seems to bother with strangers, came and nibbled on me, curled in my lap, gave me kisses while we were trying to take a picture of me holding him, and snuggled under my chin. I attempted to get to know the other one but he seemed to not want any parts of me. I believe I have been "picked!!" So I left knowing I had found my perfect little boy. I took my husband and kids to see him yesterday. Of course my teen daughter fell in love with the other one (anything to be different then Mom I guess) but my husband also picked my boy, so I put a deposit down and we will bring him home this Friday. Cute as can be...PUPPY PERFECTION!! I am so excited to give all the love that I have to this little one. I can't wait to bring him home!! Sorry for the long update but I wanted to share my thanks and my happiness with everyone. You all are the best. I look forward to the future with my puppy and everyone here at YT!! Thanks again so much!!! *Now I need help naming him - Piper or Mulligan (Mully). My husband loves planes and golf. He's buying him for ME but I thought I might honor him by naming the puppy after one of his favorite things. Any input would be helpful. Think I'll start a new thread for this one =) Tammy |
Tammy- I am sooooo happy for you!!! As I kept reading your post my smile got bigger and bigger. I am so sorry you had to go through the loss of Maxx, but there is a reason for everything and I am sure your new little Piper/Mully will bring you sooo much love! p.s. I like Piper for his name! :p |
I am so glad you didn't wait. Who knows..maybe Maxx's purpose in this world was to bring you and Mully together.. All the best. |
refund? Did they offer a refund? They really should, being that the puppy never even left the premises! I always call my deposits non-refundable unless something tragic happens to the puppy while in my care. Luckily nothing like that has ever happened, but to be fair to the buyer that is what I do. I am so happy that you found another baby though, and to not have to ship- what a blessing! You will be so happy with this new baby. By the way Piper is to cute!!! Good luck! |
WONDERFUL! WONDERFUL! Oh! how exciting! Friday will seem like it will never come! I am so very happy for you! I love lthe name Mulligan---then, again I am Irish, so what can you expect? Ha! Ha! Oh! And I am also a Bagpiper, so piper would also be nice! Be sure and post a pic and update us as soon as you get him!------Lucky Dog!] Pat |
I am very glad that you found a little one to love . |
i am very sorry to hear this :( |
aww good for you congrats Friday will be a happy day for you and your family. I hope you are pursuing the refund from the other breeder. Under these circumstances she/he should refund you without question. |
Hi Again!! Yes Beth, fortunately they did give me a refund. It hit my account today...thank goodness. I was REALLY leery about getting another pup from them and was very hurt over Maxx. I'm so glad I found this wonderful, local breeder!! Piper or Mulligan (Mully)? |
Oh, such wonderful news!!! Soo cute how they "pick" you!!!! Congrats!!! |
I am so happy to hear about your new fur baby! I know it's hard, and you will never forget Maxx but you will once again be filled with joy for the love of your new fur baby! :aimeeyork |
Congratulations! I am glad this story had such a happy ending. Do you mind sharing the breeder's website with us? |
yes I would love to see the website also! I am so happy for you and the new addition! I wish you the best with your new furbaby!! By the way I like the name piper! |
Breeder of my new baby Sure, I'd be glad to share the website. She doesn't have pics posted of this current litter (they just moved into their new home and she didn't get to the website yet) but she does have the parent's pictures on her site. My little man came from Sasha and Lil' Bear. Thought both were just adorable parents. Even cuter in person. I wonder if my little one will have a lot of silver in his coat when he gets older. Martha still has one little male left out of 3 boys and 1 girl. He too is adorable. She would probably send pics of him if anyone is interested. Let me know what you think of her site! Thanks!! www.marthaspreciousbabies.com P.S. Those are her Yorkies on the home page. Sasha is the one in the back with the "bat" ears ;) Simba is the little pup in the front left and Natasha is the front right pup. You can see them all grown up on the "Meet the Parents" page. Sugar Plum and Bonsai are bigger now too. Bonsai will soon be ready to become a daddy and Sugar Plum will be a first time Mommy in the fall when she has her third "heat." Just a little FYI =) Spent many hours with Martha!!! |
Oh and "click" on the pics of the parents to see a larger picture and to learn more about them. |
Tammy, I am so happy for you and your new baby. Thanks for keeping us updated. Things will be great! Good thought about naming him for your hubby, I like Mully a lot. Congratulations and glad you went to another breeder and found the perfect pup! |
Tammy, Im so sorry about your puppy. I would like to said that I have 2 puppies Frida and Kramer and I have to give them away because Im having a really difficult pregnancy, maybe they will be good for you, please let me know, Im trying to find a good home for them. |

Tammy, I am so happy for you! I think too that it would indeed be an honor for your supportive husband to have the new baby named "Mulligan" for him! Maxx.. I am so glad you were able to share your love with a new little guy! Everything happens for a reason and although you would have preferred that Maxx live, he will have a special place in your heart and you still have room to love another yorkie! Bravo to you! Congratulations... P.S. I like the name Piper myself. :) |

And, so sorry to hear about Maxx..things will work out for each of you but it is really hard to wait for the right solution to our problems. Keep us UTD about your babies. I get inquiries -usually several a week for puppies OR older babies. Please PM me and let me know about your babies--price, age, size, etc.. |
I am so happy for you! I was so sad when I heard about your losing your Maxx before even getting him, but this is wonderful. And you are absolutely right to get this little boy. It's one thing to want one, it's another to have and hold. You'll love him and that's what it's all about. Congratulations. |
