I am so sorry to hear of your loss. You will be in my prayers. You have so much love in your heart and there is room for another. Not a replacement but some new little furry fella who needs a loving family.

I would be extremly cautious about getting another from the same breeder. As a breeder she should have seen danger signs and took Maxx for medical treatment and germs circulate-not just 1 pup but thru a whole kennel/house hold. Usually if 1 is sick all or most are or soon to become sick. If you know her well and trust her then follow your heart -if you have any reservations at all no matter how small, I would ask for my deposit back and look elsewhere.

Thank you all so much for your kind words and for keeping Maxx and I in your thoughts. I have spoken with the breeder over the phone and told her that I don't feel ready to look at or accept any of her other puppies and asked her to refund my deposit back. She said they would but she had to speak with her husband first (?). So hopefully I will get my deposit back. I think it's best for me to distance myself from that whole situation right now because I don't feel like dealing with them any longer. My heart is broken and I feel they have a HUGE part in the way I feel. Not saying that what happened is definetly their fault, I'm just afraid of getting hurt again. I am not giving up on finding another little furbaby though. Thanks to many of your inputs, I think I am going to look and find another little boy as soon as possible. I have a void in my heart that I think only another little baby could fill. I will continue to mourn my baby boy Maxx. I wish so much that he was OK and coming home soon!! No puppy will ever replace him but that's not to say I won't be able to love another just as much. The man who I got my chi, Pixie, from has a Yorkie boy. He called me Tuesday to let me know, but I told him that I already had a baby I was waiting on (he knew I had been looking before I found Maxx). I called him to tell him what happened and to find out, as a breeder, what he thought, and I found out that the little boy is still there waiting for a Mommy, so now I don't know what to do. I trust this man whole-heartedly because he stands behind his puppies. Pixie came with a lifetime health warranty, so trust isn't the issue. I just don't want to feel like I'm replacing Maxx too soon. I wish this never happened!! Maybe I'll go look at the little furbaby. If anything, just to snuggle and cry on!! I Miss My :littleang !!

Tammy- I just got in and read your post about Maxx... everyone has said it all, but I just want to add how sorry I am for your loss! How old was Maxx? I just can't believe the breeder didnt notice anything before? I am glad to hear that you are looking to another breeder for your puppy, as someone stated, if it was a cold or pneumonia, I would think that the other puppies could be ill also. And I just don't understand why his surgery would have caused an upper respiratory infection? On another note... you should definitely get your deposit back regardless of what her husband says!

i just dont know what to say but i am so sorry :sad: :cry: but i know that you loved little max and its hard to mourn him but it sound like you have a big :love: and may have room for another fur baby i would go and look at the other pup from the man you trust, and dont think of it as replacing maxx you could never do that.. cause he is still with you :littleang you will just be helping your self with the mourning and like you said even to hold and cry and get sweet little puppy kisses that is the best healing you could do for your self.. good luck in what ever you decide.. we will pray for you. :sad:

I\'m sooooo sorry that\'s terriable. We are getting a new puppy soon and I would be devistated too if that happened to me! I am soo sorry i hope you are able to open your heart to a new furbaby soon. The owner sounds really upset so in a few weeks or so i would take her up on her offer. She seems very responsiable. i\'m sooo sorry and i know exactly how you feel.

I am so terribly sorry to hear the news about Max. Take your time to grieve for him before you make any other decisions. If I were you, I would chose another place to buy my puppy, just to be on the safe side. You and little Max are in our prayers....

I am so sorry this happened. You are in my Prayers. I am a breeder and i had something like this happen to me with a coustmer. I was so hurt and so sorry. I didnt know how to tell her. I knew she was waiting on this baby. I sent her deposit back and she found another baby. But, I know when she buys again she will check with me and she tells people about me. Trust me it hurts the breeders heart also if she, he is a good breeder.

Tammy, my heart goes out to you. I am so sorry you recieved such sad news today. I will keep you in my prayers, hopefully you find a puppy really soon. I know you will always miss your Maxx but the new puppies kisses can help make you feel much better. Puppy kisses always make me feel better.

I hope you do not take offense but I have only the best intentions when I tell you that there were several things in your breeders email that sent up red flags for me.
I do understand how Maxx may have gotten the respiratory infection but I would really have second thoughts about getting another puppy from this person.

So sorry to hear about your puppy. I to went thru the same thing last month but i did find a new puppy. It gets better it really does. Some where out there is a lil puppy waiting for you and im sure you will find her.
