We don't do bows either. I did try to put bows in their hair once, and they freaked OUT! They weren't having any of it. They're big boys and I think they feel silly. :) But all of your pics are adorable! |

I love seeing all the boys with bows, topknots, barettes in their hair!!! I personally think it is sooo cute!! They need their hair out of their eyes somehow :) Miko gets clips or bows in his hair sometimes, but his hair actually grows back and to the sides. His hair is actually in a clip in my avatar :) but I don't think you can see the actual clip because it is cropped so much... |

AKC. Standard for Yorkies! According to the AKC. Standards all Yorkies wear a bow or "Topnot" it is considered normal regardless of their Sex, male or female? My male Artie, wears masculine colored clothing, bows and clips......I would never put a dress on him or anything "Pink"! That color is reserved for both of my females, w/c by the way do not wear any bows/barettes b/c they do not have the same quality of hair as my male, he is definetely more impressive! And for some reason (Breeding & Genetics/Hereditary) their hair does'nt grow as fast or thick enough! They look like they have a "Puppy cut".......So if you got it, you should flaunt it. Oh yeah, and my BF. walks them too! Pink Dresses and bows and all and both my Males are secure enough with their "Masculinity" to do it and walk tall and proud, when they do! Besides if I didn't he wouldn't be able to see, he would be knocking stuff over and walking into doorways. So it does serve a practical purpose, besides for "Looks"! Tell your BF. to get over it? I know this is wrong but somehow i can't get over my idea that boy dogs should have short hair and girl dogs long hair with pretty bow. Probably because i have never liked human men with long hair and especially not ponytails. That also probably explains why i married a military man! LOL:D my little man tobey will not wear a bow because of my hang up but if I get another pup, i would love it to be a girl so i can have fun with bows and sparkly collars! |
Oliver goes to family outings with us and everyone says he looks bi-sexual with his bow in his hair! I think he's adorable and I just ignore what they say... overall they are just jelouse that yorkie boys can look adorable even with bows in their hair!! :) |
