When hubby and I were looking for our puppy, we got at least 30 to 40 of these scams... it was really bad and they were all the same thing...

This person has quite a few scams going... If you google "Jeniferbless@yahoo.com a whole page of scams comes up! Ughhh....

Yes, it is so outrageous that these people use religion as a "hook"...

My daughter is very sweet and actually thought this guy was a real pastor somewhere who needed a good home for this poor Yorkie.
Once she started really thinking about it though, she realized there were a lot of red flags. How and why would a Pastor on a mission in such a tough country even get a tiny Yorkie puppy in the first place? And why? People on these types of missions do not have time or money for a champion line puppy!

I don't think Yahoo should allow these ads-people like my daughter thought if it was on something like Yahoo it was checked out somehow...

Anyway, thanks for all the support-at least it wasn't a ton of money but she would have been so hurt that she was tricked and lied too...

I know too well what you're talking about. When I was searching for my Yorkie, I answered an ad that was on a website (can't quite remember which one). I received a quick response from a breeder in the states saying that she sold her last puppies and referred me to the missionary who bought the puppies but could no longer take care of them because she was transferred to Nigeria for missionary work. I contacted her and she stated how horrible the conditions in Nigeria were and she was looking for someone to adopt the puppies and fly them back to the states for a low fee of $500. Apparently I was in STUPID mode and actually believed that this story was true even after my husband and friends tried to convince me that if it sounded too good to be true, it most likely is. So I asked for this missionary's number and she gave it to me. I actually spoke to this person over the phone! What threw me off was that she had a accent... in one of her emails, she stated that she was originally from the states. I snapped quickly back into my normal state of mind and threatened to report this person to the FBI in Nigeria. She confessed that this was a scam, pleaded that I didn't notify the authorities. Well, I did... I called the FBI in Nigeria and reported her (because I actually had her home number and I was hoping that was traceable). It makes me sick hearing story after story about innocent people getting scammed for their hard earned money. Buyers just need to be more precautious and do their research prior to buying...

my friends breed bulldogs, and they asked us to help them advertise the liter they had. We actually had someone contact us stating they wanted to buy the whole liter. That threw up a red flag right there. But then they went on telling us that they were going to send us so much money (more than what the pups cost) and we had to western union the difference back to them, or something like that.
I'm not dumb and I def wasn't falling for their scam....
Too bad there are niave people. And I feel bad for em. But all we can do is get the word out. If they don't do the research first then usually they get taken.

OMG this looks like the exact same email I got in reply to an ad for yorkie puppies.....the add had a local phone # but when I email them I got the same reply.....a christian pastor currently located in Africa and the puppy wasn't doing well with the climate there....Of course I didn't reply and since then I haven't seen his ad for pups......I do hope that everyone is aware of these scams and doesn't get caught up in them.....I searched for months...I finally ended up getting my lil one from Mo...and only after talking several times over the course of a few weeks with the breeder and having her send me pictures of my baby with my name next to her and other items that I asked to be placed in the picture....she was more than happy to accomadate me...which helped me feel secure in the fact that I had a legit breeder.....I couldn't be more happier with my new lil baby....she is a sweetheart and exactly as the breeder described her....I feel truly blessed to have found such a wonder puppy from a trustworthy breeder.

TEEHEE! I KNOW what you mean however, I think most of us who reply to or are interested in these ads are in "Compassion" mode-we want to help these puppies who are supposedly stuck in difficult situations.

The worst that can be said is that we are "naive" and, in this dishonest world, that isn't all that bad. STILL, warn everyone you know-it is terrible that so many have been cheated.

I commend those who have reported these scams-often the info given isn't enough - I have repoted a few of these to the ad agency but apprently Yahoo, Hoobly and a few other do not do anything because I have been looking these up over the last two days and there are at least dozens.

What is wrong with society today??? Are there really that many scammers who willing hurt and steal from innocent people???? Yes apparently so, this guy is lower then low to use religion and christianity as ploys to steal from others. This kinda stuff makes me sickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.

People don't want to work anymore. They want easy money. They know there are people that are dying for these puppies and they take advantage. I just hope they get caught eventually.

thats what upsets me the most too. if you want to scam people dont say you are a man/woman of the Lord!!!! its just horrible! plus not only are they using God, but they know they are scamming religious people, which in my mind, makes it even worse!:thumbdown
