Groomed Lola myself with picture of haircut/pics! 4 Attachment(s) Well since Lola's hair mats so easily I've been searching for a haircut and found one Maltese pics in Japan. I love that hair cut and I wanted to attempt to learn to do it myself. Poor Lola was patient for almost 2 hours! The face is cut short,I will allow her ear hairs to get longer so it looks like 2 long ponytails. Body shaved down and from the knees down you leave it longer so it looks like boots lol. I'm proud of myself! lol Maybe after a few more months I will perfect this haircut. My Lola is the one with short ears and the Model/Pic is the dog from Japan.I think their names are barbiedogs. The model pic is the red leash Maltese Genie Cookie Lola Angel |

She looks so adorable! You did a great job! May I ask where you got that white and pink dress in the 2nd and 3rd pics, it is too cute! |
I think the Pink/white dress was from Petsmart. It was like $9! :) I want to get her a pretty pink harness now to show off her new haircut lol Her hair used to get very matted so I did not dress her often because of that I really love it and she seems so comfortable too.So Genie Cookie Lola Angel www.myspace.com/cookiefurbaby |

You did an excellent job:thumbup:. Your baby is definitely model material. I have a male maltese, and i dont have a clue how to get him groomed when he starts growing out his puppy fur:( |
Your little girl is sooo cute! I love that cut on her. It's so cute. |
You really did achieve the ponytail look with the ears! It looks so cute! Good job!!!:D |
ANybody have tried this cut into a yorkie? |
Nice job! I've attempted to "groom" my Golden one time, and it wasn't pretty..i mean how much can you mess up a golden retriever? Well, I messed up her beautiful tail and feathering in her hind quarters, I took off too much so I don't even try anymore..she just goes for her Spa day!! Kathy |
She looks so cute! You did a great job!! :cheer: |
Your Lola is absolutely beautiful, you did a wonderful job :number1ri |
Your Lola is absolutely precious! You did a great job. I have my to yorkies done at the groomers something like your's. I wouldn't have the guts to do it myself! Great Job, you go girl!!! I am sure Lola will enjoy the spring and summer with her new doo! Lana, Sissy and Buster:D |
Absoulty beautiful, and i realy mean that. I have been looking for a maltese for soooooooo long now, it feels like years. They are so rare here in Ireland. Stunning.. |
Oh by the way I really love her cut, you did very well. Id love to see what a yorkie looks like in this cut |
She looks beautiful!! You did an excellent job. I would also like to see a Yorkie with this haircut..... Missy |
That is a great look - I love the long boot look. It gives her a Nancy Sinatra look - "These boots are made for walking" I've got a Maltese coming to the shop tomorrow, think I'll see if the owner will let me do this on her. You did a great job!!! Lola looks fantastic |
I think this haircut would look adorable on a floppy eared Yorkie. Letting the ear/hair grow out really long into ponytails. I have seen a shaved yorkie with the "boots" like that but I think the face was shaved too close. It was on some website that sells dog clothes... I am interested in seeing a yorkie with erect ears with this haircut. The dark melon dress I got from Target, it looks like a Juicy dress and it was like $12 I think. I plan to get a groomer pair of clippers and blades. Hubby actually said she looked really pretty. We got lot's of compliments when I walked her today :) I would love to take some grooming lessons so I can do this myself and get great grooming tips. But when I looked into it the classes cost like $3,000!! lol I just want to learn for my dogs.I would save at least $120 every 4-6 weeks! Genie |
